I don’t see a dictator and you still haven’t pointed to anything he has done to make him a dictator. Guns are still here, speech is still here, freedom is still here.

You can say this generic statement with every president because we are so polarizing in our politics. I hear the right say Biden is destroying our country from the inside. Boring and overused.

By the way, Kamala would have been a disaster and still would if elected.

Didn’t Hitler ban guns and stabbing weapons from the Jews? Weird, I just had to show my ID in the UK to purchase a steak knife. I don’t remember doing that in the USA? Being realistic is not being tone deaf. Just because someone is making money doesn’t make them tone deaf. I’m in the field every day, listening to customers and employees and feeling the pulse of what people are needing, hurting for and also the how they are feeling.

You can be a more tone deaf person being a 9-5 education administrator. You never liked Trump and anyone who didn’t vote for Kamala is tone deaf. Nothing has changed in here. No depth, far left cheerleaders for one side. **** on everyone else.

Meanwhile trump won his primary in a landslide.

Harris hasn't raped children, been convicted of felonies, been impeached multiple times, had a fake university, stolen from a charity, cheated on all 3 spouses, dodged a draft, said her personal Vietnam was avoiding STD's, went into dressing rooms to see underage girls naked, called her supporters sheep, bragged about committing sexual assault etc.
The worst candidate ever is obviously trump. Despite being the worst candidate ever his supporters happily and enthusiastically voted for him to cause no one else to have a chance against him in the Republican primaries.
He was right when he said he could commit murder and his supporters would still support him.

If we had elected Harris maybe the House flips to D as well but I don't think both house and senate turn D, so she wouldn't be getting much of anything passed.

This sounds a lot like an abusive husband telling his wife she wouldn't get beaten if she would just listen and keep her mouth shut. It's all her fault, after all, it isn't the fault of the guy throwing the punches. Half this country for some reason decided they wanted fascism over democracy. That is unfathomable, and disgusting, and horrifying, but that's also where the fault lies. You seem just fine with it as well, as long as you can keep blaming the dems. @Bucknutz I know you've been welcomed back with a lot of hostility, not excluding myself, but if you will I'd love to know what you think about a few things. Maybe because you're in the UK at the moment you're not as familiar with some of these things but if you have an opinion I'd like to hear it.

What do you think about Alligator Alcatraz? Specifically the reportedly very harsh conditions.

Do you feel strongly about the "release" of the Epstein files?

How do you feel about the on again, off again, seemingly arbitrary tariffs? What's your take on the fact that Trump is using emergency powers to enact them since the President is not where authority to impose tariffs lies (lays?).

How about Trump's relationship with Putin and how that has affected the U.S. support for Ukraine?

That's probably more than enough for now.

To piggyback on this, a horrible candidate can garner a lot of votes by using lies and fear mongering.

trump made everyone think ww3 was coming and he could end all wars immediately. If you vote for him. That was a lie.

trump convinced everyone that the Democrats caused high prices and that he had the power to lower them. That was a lie.

trump convinced everyone that immigrants were coming from other countries prisons and insane asylums and running amok across the US raping and robbing and murdering everyone and that he would put an end to that. That was a lie.

trump convinced everyone that there was a deep state that he would expose. Also campaigned on releasing the Epstein client list. That was a lie.

trump convinced people that America was a 3rd world **** hole during the last 4 years and that he would save America and make us all rich. That was a lie.

When you lie to get votes that doesn't make you a good candidate. Just a liar.

Also, trumps negative characteristics were actually a positive for many of his voters. After being convicted of 34 felonies he became more popular. He has been in and out of courtrooms for crimes and fraud for decades. Many of his voters want a profane, cheating, disgusting, rude, crude, unprofessional, douche as president. They think that those characteristics mean he is tough and honest and real and a normal non elite American who is "one of us"

None of this makes him a good or ok or average candidate to good people. Quite the opposite. Good Americans think liars, pedophiles, cheats, criminal, rapists, mean, profane, unprofessional, unqualified douchebags shouldn't be president.

The fact that he won (if he really won and didn't cheat, which is another discussion) simply proves that America is more full of crappy people than most of us non crappy people realized.

That last line 100%. It absolutely breaks my heart. I've spent my entire life thinking we were the good guys. Trump changed my mind on that.
