Walker Kessler out for the year

Maybe, just maybe Walker could have kept playing but why should he? He's coming off his best stretch ever which ensures he's going to get paid on that basis. Why risk further injury? Jazz management probably screwed up by not signing him.

I also think Walk would have known about this obviously and been willing to negotiate an extension even more... right? Like we can go ahead and bury the narrative that Walker wanted too much. They didn't negotiate... whatever their reasons were I guess could be anything.

Do we know for sure there were no negotiations? Like, nothing at all? Or that they had negotiations initially but didn't continue for some reason.

He was clearly upset during media day about not getting a deal done. Now... he will be even more upset about not getting a deal done.

Whoever he feels is to blame, justified or not.

I feel really bad about Walker too, that has to be super disappointing for him. He was playing so well, developing an outside shot, getting better nearly every game. And personally he was the most fun for me to watch in the games. Hope he comes back in great shape after this is all over. Hate to see this have a lasting effect on him.

Yes... I'm very confident.
 
Walker was a negotiation away from Generational wealth. That is now at risk, even if it isnt a high risk. It is still a risk he needs to recognize. Sucks.
