Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

I heard that there is likely a deal getting done to open the government.
I guess the Democrats will be able to vote in December to extend the expiring ACA subsidies or something.

The deal is based on a "promise" to vote on the ACA. It won't pass, so this is giving up the ACA and watching tens of millions lose health care coverage. That means their primary source of health care will be in the form of emergency room visits, which is more expensive for all of us than what is going on now.

Ya it's pretty stupid that a party is exists that seems intent on ****ing over millions of Americans for no good reason.
I know their "good reason* is saving money but while they want to save money by ****ing over Americans in need, they also want to give away billions to Argentina and cut taxes for the rich and build expensive ball rooms and have lavish decadent parties for trump and spend tons on military parades etc.

The cruelty is the point for them it seems.

Btw I read that one of trumps billionaire buddies invested a bunch of money based on the Argentinian economy. He was losing a bunch of money because Argentinas economy was going on the crapper.
trump is trying to boost their economy so his billionaire buddy can profit.

Don't know if that is true as I just saw it in a YouTube comment and haven't looked it up at all for verification. Wouldn't surprise anyone though if it were true. trump will help billionaires when he can. Average Americans? **** em

Seems like it basically boiled down to this: Democrats realized that Republicans are so hell bent on screwing over the 24 million people whose healthcare premiums are going skyrocket that they are also willing to continue to screw over SNAP recipients, federal workers, and airline travelers until the end of time too. So Democrats realized that simply allowing Republicans to screw over the 24 million americans whose healthcare premiums are going to skyrocket is better than also continuing to screw over SNAP recipients, federal workers and airline travelers too.

President Donald Trump has spent much of his second term so far doing, well, exactly the sorts of things he would be doing if he weren’t president. He’s been busy renovating the White House to more closely resemble his gilded temple to opulence at Mar-a-Lago. He’s been hawking wares with his name slapped on them to anyone willing to open their wallet. And at least one branch of the military has been given the chance to give back to their commander in chief directly.

Forbes reported Friday that bottles of Trump-branded wine and cider were available for purchase at two Coast Guard Exchanges, which “sell tax-free goods to members of the Coast Guard and other qualified customers, such as active duty and retired military, and civilian employees.” A display of the Trump-brand beverages was posted on Instagram last week, before Forbes confirmed their presence with both the Washington, D.C., and Centreville, Virginia, stores.

The gauzy patina of separation between the president’s day job and his side hustles has grown thinner over the course of this year. The New Yorker’s David Kirkpatrick estimates that, as of August, Trump and his family have raked in more than $3.4 billion since he was sworn in for his second term. Forbes’ Dan Alexander, one of the top trackers of Trump’s net worth, put the Trump haul at $3 billion as of September.

Just last month, the president was caught on a hot mic during his recent international jaunt to Egypt trying to arrange a meeting between Eric and the president of Indonesia, where the Trump family recently inked a golf course deal.

But he doesn't take a salary!

One thing I keep seeing trumpers say is that these subsidies were done due to covid but since covid is over it doesn't make sense to keep the subsidies.
But it does make sense to make peoples insurance premiums go up by insane amounts? That does make sense? Maybe we could just keep the subsidies but change the name/reason. Instead of the "covid" subsidies we could call them the "preventing millions of americans from being unable to have healthcare" subsidies. Maybe that would make trumpers think they make sense?

Pardoning 77 more traitors:

“I, DONALD J. TRUMP, do hereby grant a full, complete, and unconditional pardon to all United States citizens for conduct relating to the advice, creation, organization, execution, submission, support, voting, activities in, or advocacy for or of any slate of presidential electors ... in connection with the 2020 Presidential Election,” the proclamation read.

"But in the first year of his second term, it appears Trump is no longer concerned about appearances or the pretense of propriety. He’s corrupting the process; he seems to know he’s corrupting the process; he must know that we know he’s corrupting the process; and he’s doing it anyway.

On the first day of his second term, Trump issued roughly 1,500 pardons and commuted the sentences of 14 Jan. 6 criminals, including violent felons who were in prison for assaulting police officers. A few days later, he kept going, pardoning 23 anti-abortion rights activists, seemingly unconcerned about their guilt. That was soon followed by a pardon for former Gov. Rob Blagojevich, a man synonymous with corruption in Illinois politics, whom Trump saw as an ally.

In early March, he pardoned a Tennessee Republican who was just two weeks into a 21-month sentence for his role in a campaign finance fraud scheme. In late March, he pardoned a prominent campaign donor. (Asked to defend the latter, the president struggled in unintentionally hilarious ways.) A month later, he pardoned another Republican donor, as well as a Trump-aligned former Las Vegas City Council member. In the weeks and months that followed, the list just kept growing."

"Raskin’s letter said Maxwell has received customized meals personally delivered to her cell, after-hours time in a private exercise area and access to a service puppy.

Raskin said Maxwell was also afforded private meetings with visitors arranged by the warden, complete with snacks. The guests were allowed to bring computers, which Raskin described as “an unprecedented action” that risked Maxwell having “unmonitored communications with the outside world.”

When the phone lines went down for other inmates at the camp, Raskin said, Maxwell had friends and relatives call prison employees, who then could help her speak to them.

“These luxuries and amenities … mark Ms. Maxwell more as a guest at a Trump hotel than a federal prisoner and child sex offender,” Raskin wrote."

Today trump welcomes a dude who was removed from the most wanted list 3 days ago with a 10 million bounty on his head.
And he just pardoned guliani of course.

Probably not long before trump commutes Maxwells sentence
