Certainly seems that way. Assist numbers might not be high but just watching the games you can see the passing acumen on display. Not all good passes result in assists after all.

i hate to go there, but like in college that simply isn't is role. i mean, the mfer runs to the corner and stands there on every offensive set. he's not going to have high assist numbers, but he can clearly pass the basketball. in fact, it would be very interesting to know the percentage of one's total passes that are assists. he doesn't pass much - again, he's being asked to spot up, attack closeouts off those spot ups and come curl off screens - all scoring plays - but when he does, they lead to buckets seemingly most of the time.

Not saying he can't pass, but you can't call a guy a plus passe if he's merely moving the ball when he should be moving the ball.

Praising his passing is merely based on the expectation that he was a ball-hog who can't pass. That clearly isnt the case, but he has a ways to go to be a plus passer
 
Ace is 10x further along as a ballmover than I thought he would be at this point. And, given that I thought this would be his major weakness, I am much relieved.



Problem is, doe, I'm worried about us having whiffed on two top-10 picks and doing way too much to lose our pick this year. So, yeah, relief is a short-lived bitch.

It's more than that. I see him making high level passes and reads that other don't/can't make.
