ESPN Top 25 Under 25

He's been good for like 3 weeks, and he's still mostly a defensive liability.
I mean, he's a defensive liability mostly due to the fact no one else on his team is a defensive liability so he gets the brunt of the focus for teams trying to find something to exploit vs an otherwise top tier defense.

Ranked High:
Amen Thompson (6)
Jalen Williams (4)
Dyson Daniels (20)

Ranked Low:
Franz Wagner (12)
Flagg (8)
Harper (18)

"Snubs"
Edey
Kessler
Buzelis
Amen at 6 is about right. He is very impactful on both offense and defense and can play several positions. Neither is true for many players.

There are plenty two way players on this list and some that are better on both offense and defense ranked lower than him.

Amen is very good and a positive contributor on offense, but he is still an inefficient scorer who cannot provide spacing. I don't think he shows much hope of being a shooter either. Mobley and Chet are two DPOY level players who have shown more offensive chops.

I do wonder with players like Daniels/Thompson Twins/Castle if the honeymoon phase of being in love with them will end when their shooting becomes a bigger issue in the playoffs. All great players, but massive shooting flaws.

Castle is someone ranked too high here as well. But I've always been a doubter of his, so I'm biased. Off the top of my head here are guys who could make it into this list:

(no order)
Edey
Kessler
Ace
Key
Eason
Fears
Kyshawn George
Lamelo
Jabari Smith
Mathurin

It gets flat after a certain point

Well, if they were good shooters they would be All Stars. The same would be true for Keyonte if he could defend like the Thompsons or Daniels. All of these players have major strengths and deep flaws. And all of them are still young and developing.

Ya Key should 100% be on this list lol
