Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Here’s my top 10 right now

1. AJ
2.DP
3. Caleb Wilson
4. Cam boozer
5. Cam Carr
6. Flemings
7. Quaitance
8. Acuff
9. Karim Lopez
10. Mikel Brown

I know having Boozer at 4 is controversial and I do think he’s a very skilled player who’s gonna have a good career but I don’t think he will ever be a player that drives winning with his play style and I can’t justify taking someone who won’t drive winning over those other three players I also just hate his fit on the Jazz

Peterson has a rep for being aloof from his team, this picture would seem to display that. Not sure of the context though.

It is a continuation of the "no players came to his birthday!" meme from the Keven Costner "Draft Day" movie.

The context is that he keeps getting injured. Nothing to do with being aloof with his teammates.

I believe that doing stuff that size/athleticism is supposed to allow you do >>> visible size/athleticism. So I guess that makes me a Tanner believer.

I feel similar with Boozer it’s clear he’ll be a double double machine BUT he’s a bit slow and I’m not sure he can bring much of value on the defensive end. He’s actually a lot like his dad with a better shot who was amazing offensively in his prime but was consistently overpowered by talker guys like Gasol.

I also worry a bit with Caleb he’s pretty skinny. Fingers crossed for AJ we need a beast. I also like Quataince he’s super aggressive.

I have a hard time seeing the Jazz invest their top-8 pick in a relatively small guard this year (e.g., 6'3"). It would be a different story if Keyonte hadn't taken the leap that he has. However, I think the Jazz are looking for someone who fits well next to Keyonte, Ace and Lauri. I think Mikel Brown wouldn't be completely ruled out, since he has some star potential and he's big enough to play next to Keyonte in the backcourt, but I'd be surprised if the Jazz went with Flemings, Philon or Acuff, even though they're all good
players. I think one of these guys would need to completely blow the Jazz away in pre-draft for the Jazz to take one.

I'd also be a bit surprised if the Jazz drafted Quaintance, the reason being that at this stage he's a non-shooter (sub 50% FT%). He's a beast and possibly the most impactful defender in the class, but I don't think teams will view him as a top-8 guy due to his lack of offensive polish. IMO he might be late lottery or mid-teens when it's said and done. The Jazz seem to like space, movement and shooting, and Quaintance doesn't really fit that model.

If the Jazz end up in the 6-8 range, I think they'd be looking at Avadalas, Lopez and Tounde--2-way wings and forwards who are starters and have some upside. Maybe Carr makes the shortlist as well.

I don't know many prospects outside the top 4 or 5 but I did watch a highlight video of Carr and he seemed very athletic and powerful and seemed like a dawg. Looked like he had decent size but I'm not sure what position he would play for the jazz.

I think you can win with two 6’4” guards as the Celtics did. I’d want a dog next to Keyonte though. I prefer the look of a Jrue / White back court to a Lillard / McCollum one. Kind of like the kid out of Houston in that scenario.
