Jabari Says it Would be a Blessing to be a Laker... SMYH

Why would this man not want learning from Kobe Bryant and money? Best career move he can make is Los Angels get lucky by draft lottory.

If I were a young player, I'm not sure I'd want to learn from Kobe. The guy doesn't seem to have the patience to be a good teacher. It might end up being a very competitive relationship for someone like Jabari. Look what happened with Howard.

It would be.

You know how much more money you can make from being a Laker compared to being on the Jazz, Bucks, Magic, etc.?

Honestly, if I was a big time athlete and not an extreme Jazz fan, I would want to be on the Lakers.

i agree, but we've seen a small market player be one of the 3 face of the franchise - KD. but in order for jabari to be like KD, he needs to be top 3-4 player in the NBA, and just need to bring excitement.

honestly, Jabari seems too nice of a guy. he has a tim duncan in him which is good for the team, but not good for marketing IMO. i'm not sure if he will ever be that guy who will be all over the magazines and has his own shoe like kobe, bron, and kd. maybe he will if he becomes a legit 30pt scorer.

I would have to say Kobe's problems with Howard is that Howard is one, among a decent handful, of pseudo stars. That is, guys with phenomenal talent but lack a significant amount of mental and emotional strength to make them elite competitors. It's those intangibles that legitimately separate guys like McGrady from Kobe or Howard from Duncan. I would no anticipate any problems with Kobe and Jabari. I would, however, anticipate potential problems between Kobe and Wiggins.

I hate how people bring up that he's mormon so that's why we want him. Yeah it's be cool and all, but I want to get him cause he's a freakin good basketball player with a lot of potential. I'd be incredibly happy getting wiggins, embiid, or exum as well.

Well I am sure that it is common knowledge that he is LDS besides the fact that you have to be in denial if you don't believe that it isn't part (major) of why some Jazz fans want him here. Same with Jimmer. I don't think the Jazz organization think that way but I am sure there are many mormons who do.

I don't want him or exum since they have a desire to be part of the evil empire. LOL. I think most kids grow up wanting to be Lakers, Celtics, Bulls and even Knick players. I am sure he was just saying what all players say this time of year. I would love to be.. Insert team name..

Didn't want Jimmer, wouldn't mind Jabari. But Wiggins is #1 on my draft board. Guess that makes me a bad Moron.

I understand the point you're making here, but to nitpick the difference between Kobe and Tracy were injuries.

blessing to be a laker?

how about blessing to be on an nba team? there is people out there wishing they could be in the nba.

i dont like when players do that.

For the record, I am not LDS, and I prefer Wiggins, Exum, and even A. Gordon to Jabari. I just wanted to read everyone's reactions.

So you consider around 30% "extremely lucky"?

Honestly depending on Embiid's back, Exum's and Randle's workouts, and the lotto I can see Parker going 4th maybe even a minor chance he goes 5th. Parker isn't that crazy athlete that most GM's look for with greater upside.

Parker is definitely behind Wiggins and depending on how you feel about Embiid he could be behind him as well. Yeah, it would be great for Parker to play for the Jazz, but I definitely wouldn't take him over Wiggins.

Wiggins concerns me, because he doesn't seem like he has the top dog mentality. I think he could be like PG (ceiling) or Gerald Green (Floor). I'd be extremely happy with any of those top 4 guys though.

I could see why he would, but the games without Embiid he averaged 28 PPG. Wiggins is a way better defender as well.

Wasn't Jabari the only High School player on the cover of SI, other than LeBron?

too bad the lakers have exum 3rd and jabari 4th.

this is their draft board.

1. wiggins
2. embiid
3. exum
4. parker.
