I don`t get to watch many games as they start @ 3 am my time, but I did watch the 2nd half tonight. If this game is representative, it seems to me that there is a pretty easy path for us to get decent real quick again. Replacing Collier and Williams with average NBA players would make us much...
A suggestion from a years back I find intriguing, is to wiat until a team is mathematically out of the play offs and then start counting wins. Whoever racks up the most wins after they are automatically out, gets the number one pick. This would add so much fun to the last third of the season and...
The salary you are referring to in 27-28 includes Brice`s qualifying offer. Very, very few players end up on that. The season before the difference in salaries between them is only 2 million and for this season and next, the Ju-Zang Clan actually makes more than Brice.
If we traded for Randle and did not play him in a contract year, he and his agent would rightfully be pissed at us. It would make it even harder to get established players to want to come to Utah if the perception around the league was that we stood in the way of players getting their bags.
So what would be the point of the trade? Randle would come here to ball to get a new deal somewhere else. We don`t need players that raise our floor like that,
The only available Pelican that could be a game changer for us would be Zion. If he really is available for a pick, Collins and Svi work as salary going out. Sit him for the rest of the year and the team will be even worse with Collins gone. If Zion does not get his **** together, we can cut...
He`s a Nordic dude so offer him to take out some of the mandatory parental leave months we are required to take over here. We could make it our own version of the superstar treatment.
Why does it have to be only one of the due at specific times of the year? I just can`t see the logic as to how this is the best way to improve.
I am guilty too of being lazy with my usage of "The American Way". What I mean is that the focus from a very young age seem to be to play as many games...
I know this is the American way, but too me this is just the lazy answer. If "playing basketball" always the best way for young prospects to realize their potential? I think it is pretty clear that this is not always the case.
I`ve never understood that the only way to develop players in the US is to play them. In Europe, young talents get a few minutes here and there in spots where they are able to succeed. They spend a lot of time on the practice field and do not play until they are good enough.
If Cody Williams`...
There is also an added value here in making Atlanta better. Helping them be a play off-contender lessens the chances of their pick, that is owned by San Antonio, being good.
