I was defending good people and trying to keep peace, but I guess you wanna take this a step further by now calling me out. Unfortunately I'm too familiar with my countrymen throwing hissy fits when they think they are on the moral high ground fighting for justice. You aren't though.

Your call out following few lighthearted jokes from good people about a non-severe injury is overreacting. Not directing your comment to anyone specifically doesnt make it morally acceptable, it just makes it passive-aggressive. Talking like all inuries are equal is hypocrisy. Throwing out "scum of the earth" as a backhand reference to said good people is just straight up slander. And its also massive exaggeration as a term in this context, which could be considered bigotry.

So ride your high horse back to the shop where you bought your moral compass from, and get it recalibrated.

So a boo-boo and a disabling life-altering injury deserve the same amount of seriousness, sympathy and compassion in their reaction? Come on now.

There is no joking of the latter... but if I get a papercut or a minor burn it may hurt like hell but my wife can laugh at it without me losing my cool like you did. In fact its better if she does. There is never too much laughter in this world, and she doesnt mean anything evil by it. Just like those guys didnt mean anything evil by their puns.

Dismissing a player being carried off in obvious pain as a "boo-boo" may be a part of someone rationalizing their own behaviour.

And you might think that defending your "new friends" might make them like you better, but it doesn't work in high school and neither on internet forums.

Lmao. You are the one who said injuries are equal. How is a boo-boo all of a sudden inferior to a contusion, yet contusion is comparable to more serious injuries? That makes absolutely no sense.

Also where did I say Lauri had a boo-boo? I just used that term to highlight the spectrum of injuries. If you decide to reply, at least have the decency to read the post.

Now… somewhat in jest… I can’t stress enough how important it is for his family that he be there and support them for the first 6-8 weeks. Take all the time needed.

And massive congrats to Lauri and Verna! That sure is a pretty good reason to not want to be traded in-season when you have a two-month old baby.
