I'm concerned about Boston as well as Philly. We're barely holding them off.

I wonder how serious the Hayward hip strain thing is. Maybe the front office is seeing the writing on the wall and doing something about it. Time to sit Favors for tendonitis or something.

It would really be masterful if we could come in with the 2nd worst record.

Not as concerned about Sacramento as some of the EC teams. Bringing in Gay has energized that team. I'm more worried about the Lakers. They have absolutely ZERO life in them.

Not to worried about them. If management tries selling this guy on a tank job he will be paying their daughters a visit.

Doing what? Promising Hayward the MAX so that he sits?

Wouldn't it be easier to give away Jefferson and Marvin?

Or you simply don't let him back on the court so early and make him feel like Jalen Rose would say: "Keep getting 'em checks". And when he returns he'll be rusty like last time and cost his team a couple losses before he finds his groove back. Lakers will suck badly. But they still managed to beat the Jazz(Which is a good thing I guess)

Easier? Nope
More effective? Nope.

Sitting a player due to injury is easier than making trades.

Gordon is better than marv and rj put together so sitting gordon is more effective for the tank than trading the vets.

Hopefully gordon continues to sit out

If the team doctors say Hayward is injured then he's injured, right? At that point the team can tell Hayward he's not playing, right?

Man i wish i was a team doctor

I bet you are incorrect. They are probably tanking because they are worried he will pay their daughters a visit if they don't. Kobe wants his legacy to live on as a result of more championships and he knows that a high draft pick next year would be a big help.

Please not the pelicans

Primetime, in future updates, it'd be cool to have a current streak column, so we can see who the hottest tankers are.

A top-3 pick in this draft would make the Jazz a contender pretty soon.

A 4 - 6 pick in this draft would make the Jazz a 3rd or 4th seed in the West, next to Houston, Portland and Oklahoma City.

A 7 - 9 pick in this draft would make the Jazz about a 5th seed within a couple of years.

There are maybe 5 All Stars in this draft.

Well the alternative would be offering/promising Hayward the MAX. Why would he willingly sit out games on his contract year?

I'd rather let Marv and Jefferson walk for free than offering Hayward the max.

I think Gordon resting to get really healthy is a win win for the Jazz and him. Say he sits out 5 games, and the Jazz lose all of those, then he comes back healthy and plays like he did against OKC, and looks like an all star/borderline superstar. Then the Jazz lose some games, and Hayward gets to look great when he does play.

Remember how bad you all hated Golden State for doing this?

Ah, memories.

When I think about how I haven't watched any Jazz this year, I realize that I haven't missed a damn thing.

I guess he could either be "rested" or he could also be "rusted" as well though....
