What's new

14th Tank Platoon

Nuggets won, what a fight they just put up. I love watching GS lose, especially in their home floor.

I don't think GS will miss the playoffs (that ship sailed), however if they fall to 7 or 8 that means we move up a few spots

Won't miss because Phoenix, Dallas and Memphis have games against each other remaining. But GS is now unlikely to pass Portland and we could end up with a pick in the 21-22 range instead of 23-24.

And if GS lose a couple of games, there is a slim chance either Toronto or Chicago pass them on the standings (draft order). Both have an easy schedule

I watched a bit of that game tonight. Two things struck me, first was how hard Denver played and second was how easy it would be for me to cheer for the Warriors if it wasn't for Mark Jackson & the traded picks. Or for the Nuggets if they weren't from Denver.

Both teams are far ahead of our beloved jazz.

So the Jazz play Clark, Thomas, Rush, Biedrins and JLIII over Kanter, Favors, Hayward, Burke and Burks. Yep, and then guys like you would be screaming that the future is in jeopardy because the youngsters can't develop unless they get playing time.

Favors missed 9 games we won zero of them. How hard is it to give a guy a tainted burrito? I really hope he sits for LA. LA has some guys that are dieing to prove themselves I think we can lose that game.

I have to say this WC playoff race is tight and the schedule is right on point. Each of the 3 teams plays each other once more. That's what I call a good finish!

Man GS is holding on with a thin thread. They lose and then Dallas loses. I still am hoping for a miracle even though none of the teams below GS seem to want to make the playoffs. The Mavs, Griz, and Suns haven't been able to take advantage of GS losing. It would be awesome if GS lost all their remaining games and missed the playoffs. I know there is about a 2 percent chance of that happening.

Dallas is done they still have a hard schedule. GS will get in because they don't play any of the other teams.

I don't think Dallas is done. They have 2 more wins(also games) than Memphis and their last two are Memphis and Phoenix.
Phoenix has 1 less W and 1 less L than Dallas, but they visit San Antonio tonight and Dallas tomorrow. In addition they host the Grizz's on monday and finish @ Sacto on wednesday.
Memphis can pick up 2 freebies tonight vs Philly and at LA on Sunday. Monday they visit Phoenix and host Dallas on wednesday.

So if I assume both beat the cellar dwellers and Phoenix loses at San Antonio tonight, we have a draw situation and a 3 way tiebreaker series between Saturday and Wednesday.

They could have made some moves to get worse and play the youth more minutes. (Trade marv and jeffy for nothing)

Also could have held players out with bogus injuries more often.

But they did nothing at all.
Didnt change any strategies.

but hey, it still worked out pretty damn good. Even if they got rid of a few guys for garbage and held guys out with fake injuries we couldnt have lost much more than we have recently

It's starting to get down to the wire here folks. Some big, Big games tonight.

WAS @ ORL
CHA @ BOS
PHI @ MEM
PHX @ SAS
POR @ UTA
GS @ LAL

This could be a great or horrible night for the Jazz's two picks thi syear.

If ORL & BOS win and UTA loses than it is a 3 way tie for 3rd. Need LA to beat GS and that would place them 2 games behind UTA if the Jazz lose tonight.

If Memphis and Phoenix win and GS loses than that will tie PHX and GS for the 6th seed and make Dallas a 1/2 game behind and Memphis 1 game behind in 9th.
