And when he returns he'll be rusty like last time and cost his team a couple losses before he finds his groove back. Lakers will suck badly. More effective? Nope.

Sitting a player due to injury is easier than making trades.

Gordon is better than marv and rj put together so sitting gordon is more effective for the tank than trading the vets.

Hopefully gordon continues to sit out

I bet you are incorrect. They are probably tanking because they are worried he will pay their daughters a visit if they don't. Kobe wants his legacy to live on as a result of more championships and he knows that a high draft pick next year would be a big help.
