What's new

2 year old toddler dead after shooting himself with his father's handgun.... in USA yet again.

Typical Americans, they do that a lot too

Nah, pretty sure everyone yanks.

Some American's deflect the painfully obvious problem we have with child related gun violence with bragging about how powerful it military is. Which is the equivalent to a child rapist bragging about how big his dick is.

Sweet.

Typical American, terrible at analogies.

Rather than some dude's ranking, let's look at statistics from the ever-accurate Wikipedia.

Basically, it depends on how you want to define "Largest empire." Land mass? Total population? Percentage of total world population?

I have an idea. Let's just suddenly remove the dollar from circulation across the globe. Not a magical thing like the dollar never existed. Let's just go take back all the dollars. What would happen? Total global financial melt-down. The world would stop spinning. Global chaos that would affect virtually every single one of 7+ billion people. How does that measure on the global power scale?

Another preventable tragedy just adding to insurmountable lead USA has over the rest of the world in children gun related accidents and deaths.

I'm all for banning guns in USA (but not peaceful, non-war mongering nations) but HighlandHomie your line of reasoning is ****in stupid.

Maybe we should ban fishing because to many accidental drownings. At least with gun accident we do not have to spend millions on search and rescue dive teams.

Why do we try to ban guns instead of educate people on them?

Maybe we should ban sex instead of educating our young people about that too...after all, I constantly hear that teenage pregnancy ruins lives.

Just curious, who exactly is seeking to ban guns? I'm aware of many proposals to regulate their sale, require background checks, and so forth but no proposal to outright ban them.

Should the gun safety training for toddlers be integrated into their pre-school curriculum?

So you're suggesting that owning a firearm and fishing are equivalent and no possible distinction could be made among them that would be relevant here? So, taking your logic further, any activity that might cause an accidental death is equivalent to owning a firearm and should thus be though of in the same way? Have I misunderstood what you're trying to suggest here?

IMO, the Roman Empire was the most powerful. It lasted over 2200 years, and had more influence on war, culture, farming, language, religion, technology, literature, etc. Their military powers were unsurpassed. The U.S. is not even close. And honestly, I doubt the U.S. will last even close to 2000 years.

Dude, we're not even gonna last 500 years. This country's ****ed.

This is all on the dad. Unfortunately any piece of news like this one is food for the ban guns audience.

What the hell is wrong with these people? So irresponsible with their greatest treasure. Tragic.

Smh, nice play on what I typed.

You know what I meant though.

You didn't mean the gun? Then what the hell, does the guy own a Porsche or something?
