2011 draft.....

Might be best for the Jazz to pass on point guards this year and just go with Devin. Next year Marshall will be coming out and he is a pure PG in the mold of Jason Kidd and Deron Williams. The Jazz will have around 8-12 which should be plenty high enough to get him.

I do like Marshall a lot. Hopefully he will be available in the late part of the lottery/ early non-lottery, which is where I think we will be next year. He is definitely seems to be one of the more "pure" PG's in college (didnt he set the assist record at UNC this year for something?) and he would be perfect if we manage to actually acquire scoring wings and our big men develop strongly.

I wouldn't mind getting Knight this year who can play both guard spots then get Marshall next. That allows us to then trad Harris for what ever we need at the time.

If KOC plays his cards right things could be looking up.

My thoughts.... Draft Kanter & knight let them play Kanter behind Jefferson and learn, then if he develops trade both Jefferson, and Harris for players that can put us over the top to contend.

Maybe spend the pick on Burks. I still haven't seen Burks play but he's shooting up draft boards. I have Colorado vs. Alabama DVRed so I can take a look at him. I'm also not opposed to the jazz using their second lottery pick on Fredette.

I could be wrong but can't Knight play sg. He's more of a combo guard then a pure point in the mold of Jason Terry, not to mention he is 6-4. If he and Burks are there for the Jazz at 12 you take the bpa. That would be Knight .

I'm down with that, Kanter for 1st & Fredette for 2nd..

There are always some good PGs to be drafted. I'm not sure why we need to sweat that.

If you can't draft Knight this year we can always draft the next Dwill, CP3, or Westbrooke next year.

PG is possibly the easiest position to draft. Drafts always are overloaded with these guys.

Im eagerly awaiting david stockton, curious to see how he develops in college, and seeing the Gonzaga team play period. Would be kinda cool if he played for his dads team.

I only saw Gonzaga once. Against BYU. BYU decided to go man. They put Jimmer on Stockton. That told me all I needed to know.

Not a complete write off, but pretty dang close.

Nuts. I'll still hold onto hope until Tuesday. That gives him a couple more days to wise up.

No worries, we probably have just as good as chance of getting Barnes next year. There will be a ton of talent and Barnes could be pushed down, we will probably have two top 10 picks, Golden State's and are own. Unless the Jazz youngen's get real good real quick.
