The crazy thing with Knight though is that he will be by far the youngest player in the league history drafted since the new college rule.
I think a knight/leonard knight/burkes is a very solid draft and any combo would be a great haul in ANY draft. Knight will be a solid starter, borderline allsar. Burkes and leonard will also be starters in the league. While there may not be any superstars in this draft i see 3-4 all stars and potentially 13-14 starters. Everyone is so whiney. I mean some of you are talking about bertains now with the 12th? There is far better, proven talent at 12.
You rate Knight so high I understand your POV. I'm not quite so smitten with him. But y'know, I could be wrong. Still, it's a huge gamble he's THAT much better than Harris - like top 5 PG in the league good. It's more likely he's the kind of good the Jazz could easily grab next year - but again, we have a difference of opinion. You think he's a rare talent and I think he's not that rare.
Ok friends, what else can we rehash? Someone wanna bring up Kanter's knees again?
Agreed.
I too don't understand the hype on this board for Bertains. I think Bismack can and might be there at the 12th pick and we can hope and pray Knight is around at 6th or where ever we are picking with are first pick.
I also wouldn't mind getting Singleton with the 12th pick.
Enes Kanter has simply the whole packet on offense, you won't see guys with his high skill level that soon again. He has many similarities to Duncan on offense, for sure, he will never be de defender Duncan is, but at least if he is an average defender. He will be a great player in this league and an All-Star, capable of puting 20 - 10 each night. That's a realistic case. For sure, you guys haven't seen much of Kanter, but he is arguably the most guaranteed player in this draft to suceed. 20 - 10 players don't grow on trees. Even if Kanter won't become a solid perimeter defender and help defender because of lack of elite athleticizm and lateral movement, he will be an elite big man in this league within 2-3 years. Biyombo on the other side, might become a very solid defensive player, but you need an elite big man on offense next to him, because he will never become an offensive threat. He is raw as hell and doesn't show me much room to improve on the other side of the floor. Sounds more like a bust to me and is much, much, much riskier than a player like Kanter. So the pick between these two players is obvious for me!
