2011 draft.....

There's a very good chance Irving drops to #3. If he does, should the Jazz take him? I'd vote no. I don't think he's a dominant PG.
I could see the Cavs draft Williams and the Wolves go with Kanter. Beasley, Love, Kanter is a nice front court with Johnson and Rubio (they hope) at the guard postions. That's a great young 5 for Minnesota and I could see them making the playoffs in 2-3 years.

My preference would be Williams. I think Jefferson, Favors, Millsap is already a nice trio at the 4/5, with a little Memo off the bench. If Ak does not return, that means the Jazz only have CJ at SF (assuming Hayward is slotted in at SG). If Dwill2 is gone, I'd like to see the Jazz draft Singleton at #12. I don't think he'll be Ronnie Brewer #2. He's a better defender and has a chance at developing a decent shot. Brewer was never going to get the proper rotation on his shot because of his elbow.

Ford thinks the Cavs are in love with Irving at 1. If he is there at 3 then you have to take him. He is the surest thing in this draft IMO.

If Irving falls to 3 that means that D. Williams is gone. And mostly Kanter too. Personally I would love Irving at 3. Then we can draft another wing at 12 or a project big guy and resign AK.

Exactly. This also means that we wouldn't use a much coveted draft pick for next years draft on a PG. Instead we can focus on a different position. I am of the impression that we will take a PG this year or next.

Well, Kanter is the worst case scenario. That's awesome, as I think he has some real skill and could be a great compliment next to Favors. That being said, I really hope Williams slides down to the Jazz.

You might get your wish. Especially if the Wolves keep the pick.

The Jazz are going to take a long, hard look at Kanter, but it wouldn't entirely surprise me if they took Knight at #3, then went with a wing or Montiejunas at #12. Knight could well have a bigger impact than Irving given his size and versatility, and Montiejunas could end up being a better player than Kanter given his length and skills.

You look at how quick, talented scoring guards are having an impact in these playoffs, and it's not a bad idea to grab a talent like Knight, who can also play some SG.

I don't disagree with you on them taking Knight. I just hope that if they go that route, then they trade down in order to pick Knight. Knight at 3 makes no sense when you probably can get him at 5 or maybe even 6.

True, but what are the Cavs or the Raptors going to give us for flipping picks with them? Plus, I'm not sure the Raptors would pass on Knight at 5 unless they like Walker or Biyombo.

Agreed, at 5 the Raptors are probably taking a long hard look at Knight. I am not sure what they would offer along with the 5th pick for the 3rd. I guess the overall goal would be to offer the 3 and a solid piece for their 2012 1st round draft pick and this years 5. Would that solid piece be someone like Harris? I guess now the speculation can run wild with the draft spots finally determined.

In some years the top prospects would reject workouts for teams down the list. This year the Jazz will be able to look at all the available picks.
