I would have taken Barnes. He is a clear cut 3 who isn't considered a tweener. I like Derrick Williams, but he is a tweener and sometimes(quite often) he gets lost on the defensive end of the court. I disagree about Kanter. Here's my position, we don't have to keep Kanter if we draft him but there is no way you pass him up at 3 with the pick. If someone like the Raptors wants to trade up to get Kanter and is willing to give us the 5th pick(which likely is Knight if the Cavs select Irving 1st overall) + another asset like a pick for next year then you take it. But we need to draft the BPA and not just go with Knight because he might fit our team better. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
 
Man, I'm excited for the next few years to see how all this plays out and am willing to be wrong but Barnes is way overrated on this board, IMO. He's overwhelmingly average athletically and a streaky shooter. To me I see a league full of Harrison Barnes.....but again, I guess we shall see.

I haven't seen very much of Barnes, that's why I ask. Have you seen the range of Derrick Williams? If he could be a 3 (which I think he could) he's a lights out shooter plus can slam with authority. So would you take Willaims or Kanter?
 
I've seen some suggest Klay Thompson at 12-trust me, he will suck in the NBA. I've seen quite a few WA ST games this past year and aside from his horrible defense, he completely disappears in crunch time. Wazzu fans will tell you kyle Weaver is/was a much better prospect.

The fact that he works out now doesn't change the fact that he skipped the Hoops Summit. He could have proved he is worth the no.1 pick by dominating in that game again.

True, but him proving he was the consensus number 1 at the Hoops Summit for the second time wouldn't have been advantageous for us because he wouldn't have fallen to the 3rd spot. He still might not. That being said, I would have liked to see him at the Hoops Summit, but maybe he felt he had nothing to prove after putting up 34 points and 13 boards in the previous one. I wasn't so frustrated with him not playing in the Hoops Summit again as I was him being declared ineligible to play for Kentucky. Many think if he had been eligible he would have been the 1st overall player taken this year. There is no doubt the kid is very mature offensively for his age. Anyway, I think too many solid bigs is a good problem to have.

You might be joking, but you're definitely trolling. Holy ****, dude, the difference is VAST. AND you didn't account for minutes either.

But as an example, if both players shot 20 shots on these contrasted percentages, Irving scores 37 and Knight scores 25.6. In a game where margin of victory averages by 5 or less points, a 11-12 pt difference is MASSIVE. And this isn't taking into account assist or turnover rate. Or rate of getting to the line and the difference that makes. Or how Irving averaged twice as many steals in fewer minutes.

Andre Miller that averages 46% from 3 and 90% from the line? And 19 years old? That's pretty ****ing awesome.

That's funny. Let me start over. Andre Miller can't shoot. He's a terrible shooter and always has been. I was saying if Andre Miller - in his youth and/or prime - had a jumpshot, that's a VERY good player. Shooting has been the bane of his existence. But I'm still a little confused. What about Irving says Andre Miller to you? That they don't have the same build, don't play the same game, and one can shoot and one can't? Of all the comparisons you could come to, how did THAT one come to mind?

Turkey's Enes Kanter measured out well. 6' 9.75" in socks and 6' 11.25" in shoes with a good 7' 1.5" wing and a 9' 1.5" standing reach

Derrick Williams was 6' 7.25" in socks and 6' 8.75" in shoes. He had a 7' 1.25" wingspan and a 9' 0" standing reach.

Got measurements from the draft combine. Kyrie Irving was 6' 1.75" in socks and 6' 3.5" in shoes with a 6' 4" wingspan. But 10.3 body fat
