He just said they are looking at him.
"Teams as high as the Raptors at 5"? The way it's worded suggests they'd think about drafting him at 5. Which even if he pans out, relative to where Singleton's projected is pure looney tunes. If they are thinking of ways to trade down or acquire another pick, fine, but that's not what that snippet says.

Ford was actually at the combine talking to the NBA guys. Granted i think his last mock had Vesely at 11 now he is back at 5. Take mocks with a grain of salt right now.
I am assuming you think the Wiz are going to trade up?
Ford is probably the most CONNECTED draft analyst out there, but that doesn't mean he gathers/presents context or that he doesn't plainly pull stuff out of his *** sometimes. All I'm saying is Ford seems to be doing everything he can to hurt his own credibility.

I don't know, maybe Ford is a crazy like a fox. He throws every rumour out there shuffles the board up and down....and we all go back to ESPN everyday to see what he says next.
The GM's know its safe to talk to Ford because he will forget what they told him last week and move on to chasing the latest buzz.
When Draft day finally comes he just tells us "I told you ______ was high on Vesey, but who knew that player _______ would fall to them."
What I really think is happening is that Chad and alot of other media guys get used by agents and GM's.

He does seem to get to way overly excited after seeing one good workout.
I believe he might be living in Hawaii right now which means he could be suffering from sunstroke on a regular basis.
