2011 draft.....

Terrence Jones is all over the boards. I've seen him second overall to 20th overall on mock drafts.

I know teams should draft BPA, but as a Jazz fan, I'd really like them to avoid bigs and project Europeans. That leaves Willams, Barnes, and Jones as the possibles for the Nets pick (if it stays 6-7), and they could be gone by then.

What do you do then?

I think KOC would take Barnes 100 times out of 100 over Jones, because of his superior range and basketball IQ. Williams will probably go #2 or 3, but I believe he would be an easy pick over either just because he is NBA ready, even if somewhat of a tweener.

Barnes is so great.

He might be the next Evan Turner.

I love how guys have a few nice games in the tournament and everyone goes crazy.

Lets be careful now. Careful.

.

How much do you love it. Are you done acting smart? Did you even watch him play this morning. I did and the only reason UNC won that game was because of Barnes he won that game almost all by himself.

Turner was somewhat unknown coming into last year, and turned a lot of heads. Barnes comes in as a 18 19 year old which ever it is, comes in as the top freshman the #1 recruit with a lot of pressure on him. I'm guessing he came in with a a big target on his back, and it took him time to adjust. I assume that's a lot for any 19 year old to handle.

Over the last two or three weeks he has been the best player on his team making game winners and one of the best players in the NCAA.

Deron wasn't exactly a house hold name before his tourney run, and it got him the third pick over everyones beloved cp3. Why not Barnes.

What do you guys think of a comparison of Harrison Barnes to Calbert Cheaney. Obviously not the Cheaney that played for us, but the one in his prime. Solid shooter, not that athletic, good length, average defense. Just seems to fit him IMO.

I'd be okay with the Jazz drafting Jimmer with their 2nd pick. I think he's smart enough to be a surprisingly good player in the league. A guy who can put the ball on the floor and score on a dime from anywhere, as well as make great passes, is definitely a great asset to have. That's one thing the Jazz lack.

I'm hoping the Jazz can get a real impact player with the first pick though.

I thought of this comparison, a smooth 6'8" forward, but I think Barnes is more of a face-up shooter, like Rashard Lewis or Steve Smith.

Barnes sounds a lot like Hayward doesn't he?
Would Jazz want another Hayward type player?
Good or bad idea?
