2012-2013 a wasted season

How can one argue otherwise once the lakers overtake us and we miss the playoffs? March is hella tough and we suck on the road. This season is quickly crashing before our eyes.

No, it was a decent enough season to help pay for Big Al's bloated & untradeable contract.

Next year we can tank proper, gearing up for the loaded '14 draft class.

I agree but not for the reasons you mention. It was clear at the end of last season how nicely Favors was looking. And then we pretty much said **** you to him all year. It was extremely evident early in the year how far Kanter had come from last season. And he's barely ****ing playing. Burks was a stud in the summer league. He's rewarded by taking some splinters up his butt.

Someone's a joke. Corbin. Or KOC for acquiring Mo, Foye and Marvin. Lindsey for coming here while having to let KOC still run the show and let the trade deadline pass. A ****ing disgrace. I don't know who's to blame the most. Maybe the fans for going to the games. And who knows. Maybe this off-season S&T talk will come to fruition. But I doubt it. I highly doubt it.

2011-2012 was also a waste. Two full seasons of watching most of the minutes go to *****y players that won't even be on the team next year. All for, best-case scenario, two first round *** kickings.

Again, we were stuck with Big Al's bloated contract that we got when we were "trying to win it" with DWill.

These 2 seasons were decent enough to help pay for his contract. Now that he'll be gone in Summer, we can look towards the future with draft picks & cap space.

We're on track.

But in the post you quoted, part of the complaint was the minutes going to ****ty players that wont be on the team next year. So while you may be right about being stuck with jeffys contract, ty corbin still could have chosen to play him alot less and in different ways

29 teams out of 30 waste the season every year by your guys definition.

Not true...... If we developed our youth properly so that our team could reach its maximum potential next year then the last 2 years would not be a waste.

I think Ty seriously thinks we have a better chance at winning with Al on the floor.

Call me crazy, but I don't think that's an impossibility.

if you call the development of the kids this year a waste,

i suspect you maybe unhappy being stuck in the role you're in IRL, and probably a waste

the knicks of the 00's know how to waste seasons, this is the opposite of that. we are preparing for war. if the lakers miss the playoffs that will be a waste, we have kids making marked improvement...

I definately think corbin believes that..... doesn't change the fact that he could have played jeffy less.
I think corbin does alot of dumb stuff with his rotations, but he doesn't have to, he chooses to.
You were acting as if just because we are stuck with jeffys big contract, nothing could have been done to change the last 2 years..... i say corbin could have played jeffy less.

Well if Greg gives him an order to win every games possible. And Ty thinks the best way to do that is play Jeffy as much as possible. Then it follows that he would do just that.

Again, im not argueing against you...... this thread is about the fact that the last 2 seasons were lame and wastes..... Im just saying that if jeffy could not have been traded, then ty should have played him less imo.
I understand that ty wouldn't do that (its obvious since we have watched the last 2 years), im just saying that playing jeffy less is something that COULD have been done in order to develop the youth more and salvage something from the last 2 years.
In other words, just let me cry over my spilt milk... damn

LOL.. sorry if I hadn't made it clear.

I think my point is from an ownership stand point - as long as we're raking in the $ selling playoffs hope, then we're doing well. Greg may sit at the court side every game. But what he really cares about is the bottom line.

If it's the difference between breaking even and Favors/Kanter getting minutes, then Fans will choose the minutes, but Greg (and KOC, and Ty, by default) would choose breaking even.
