2013-2014 NFL Official Thread

Well for those that care besides Reggie Dunn to PIT, other undrafted FA's I have found so far are:

Ryan Lacy, CB, Utah to NO
Utah P Sean Sellwood to ATL
Utah CB Moe Lee to BAL
Utah DT Dave Kruger to CLE (maybe get to play with his bro)
Utah TE David Rolf to SD
Utah C Tevita Stevens to WAS

And sadly for my Phins, Brandon Ogletree, LB, BYU

Whatever happened to John White?

Interesting that the Eagles of all teams picked Barkley. You usually see mobile QBs fitting into Chip Kelly's offense, but obviously he is going to have to tweak it a bit for the NFL. Nick Foles and Matt Barkley running that system? Must see TV. I might have to be a bandwagon Eagles fan this year if those guys ever climb the depth chart.

Won't make much difference if they can't protect the QB. Eagles need a complete overhaul of their OL.

I bet each team would have a press release that would indicate any and all undrafted FAs they signed.

49ers filled some need picks early in S Reid, DE Tank (49ers envision him taking over for Justin Smith.) TE Vance McDonald, OLB Corey Lemonier. They would start for most teams. Other then Reid they will all be rotation players for the 49ers.

Totally shocked the 49ers got Quinton Patton WR out of Louisiana Tech in the 4th round.

The only pick that I openly cheered was the Marcus Lattimore pick. We don't need him at all this year. The 49ers can be patient and let him heal from that horrific injury he sustained. He might be the one to take over for Gore in two years loved the pick. Also 49ers sign the British olympian Lawrence Okoye 6-6 over 300 lb's and ran a 4.7 40. He's never played football ever will be a project for sure, but he's a freak of nature and if he pans out will be a total beast, will probably play on the DL.

Overall I give the 49ers a solid B+. would've given an A if we could've gotten a cb somewhere in round 3. As our db's are aging a little.
Don't overlook the latter picks. They strengthened their special teams with cheaper rookies to take over for aging vets. They're freeing up cap space and getting rid of some of the older vets. 49'ers are deep...too deep. Some of the cuts are going to be valuable subs on other teams. I agree re: the CB's. Definitely need to upgrade. Guess no one really impressed enough to take. Will be interesting to see if Asomugha has anything left. I usually hate bleacher report, but this article is pretty good in detailing how the drafted players may fit into the roster over the next few years. Also interesting to note the 49'ers have 10 draft picks next season, with a likely 3rd-rounder still to be awarded for the loss of Goldson. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1622437-why-the-san-francisco-49ers-won-the-2013-nfl-draft

I'm excited to watch Kansas City play. Super Bowl XLVIII Champs!

I say KC wins 5-6 games this year. I see them making some solid moves and are headed in the right direction. Combine that with a wicked home field and the future is bright for them. However becoming a legit contender overnight is exceedingly rare. K.C. will need another year of two of solid moves like they have made. Clearing out the management and coaching levels like they did will do wonders for them.

^But they have the QB with the best rating in the NFL in Alex Smith. According to some, he's one of the best QB's in the league. Certainly, adding Smith should give KC at LEAST 10 wins!

I forgot about them adding Smith. Take my 5-6 games and make it 8-9 and KC will fight for a wildcard spot. Still maintain that they need another year or two to really become a contender.

Said the same thing when Miami got Lebron and it took them until their 2nd year to win it all. Said the same thing about Denver when they got Peyton. Now you see Wes Welker, Luis Vasquez and other good players jumping on board.
