I'm in the camp of start Burks and see what happens.
He very well could end up being our best player. Those cards are still play whether or not people here believe it. I think its playing with fire to bring him off the bench. He has been benched long enough for terrible players. Now we want to tell him he still can't start because we think its better he comes off the bench??? Huh? That's foolish. Why would we want to try and piss off a potential big time player? What do we even got to gain from that? Burks deserves a chance to prove himself in the starting line up against other starters, and we shouldn't be denying him of that. He has waited long enough.
Good Grief!
Please no more dumb crap from the Jazz. I can't take it anymore

Huh? Lol bro. Where did I say 6th **aren't a big deal**? Strawman strawman strawman!
I think you're overemphasizing the "6th man" effect. And forgetting how ****ed Hayward's overall minutes were thanks to the 6th man assignment. He averaged less minutes per game last year than the year before.
I can buy this. But at the same time, you're making a great point for me... Big Al isn't on the team anymore. There are no indications that the majority of our starting offense is going to involve freezing out the wing players. As good as Kanter and Favors are, and Kanter especially in the post, I can't see out offense being throw it into the post and camp style anymore. And if it is, Corbin will be gone before the season is over.
if you read my posts, you'd see that I completely agree with you in thinking that Burks should start at first, for confidence-building and respect.
Ok then.
I'm just not ready to lable Burks as being better coming off the bench. We don't even know. And I'm even one that will say Hayward is better at the 2 than the 3. So I see the dilema. Its just that if there was ever a year to just give Burks his shot without worrying about everything else then its this year. I'm intrigued by Burks as much as I am of any of the core4. While a lot of people have seemingly written Burks off already. I think he has shown flashes of greatness. I don't want to go and screw things up now. We have already done enough the last two years by leaving him on the bench for horrible players. This year is about seeing what we got, not seeing if we can win a championship.

BTW, I think Kanter should be our 4 since he can hi from a lot of areas on the floor, even 3's, as well as posting up smaller PF's.
Think how "rude" it would be if everyone is play the young guys, its the future, hand the team over to them. And then Burks gets left out of the starting line-up. Now maybe it would drive him to prove everybody wrong.
Who and what is a "smaller" PF? And how is Kanter going to force the "smaller" PF to guard him and not the guy that has shown very little offensive skill?
I don’t think I will miss any significant time during the regular season. Hopefully I’ll take the preseason to get this thing going in the right direction. --Marvin Williams
