Sorry, I was busy fielding competing offers to run the sportsbooks at the Bellagio and Caesars. Take Ohio State to win the championship to the bank because Urban Meyer is either the best coach in the history of college football or he is the best coach in the history of college football at integrating PEDs seamlessly into his programs without detection.
Yes they did. They lost to a 1 loss top 10 team. Baylor lost to a pathetic team. I don't care about head to head so much. TCU lost by a close margin to a far superior team than Baylor did.Add 2 teams and get a conference championship. They didn't deserve it over Baylor at the time anyway. They shouldn't have coughed up that 21 point 4th quarter lead to Baylor. They have only themselves to blame.

I have no problem saying TCU is the better team. Their only loss was on the road to a top 10 team in a game they dominated most of the way and lost mostly because of this: https://deadspin.com/baylor-beats-tcu-with-a-little-help-from-the-officials-1645328506Baylor lost to WVU on the road. The same team that TCU beat by one on the road... If TCU loses to Baylor(like they did), they really have no argument over the team that beat them IMO. What it comes down to is the need for expansion and a conference championship. You might not believe the head to head made a difference, but it obviously did as they jumped TCU in the playoff rankings. Let's also take into account the final game prior to each teams bowl games. Baylor beat #9 K State. TCU played and beat Iowa State..... A team that went 2-10 on the season. TCU cost itself any chance at going to the playoff when they lost to Baylor and didn't have a conference championship to make up the difference.

Do you think WVU is better than Baylor? Are the Jazz superior to the Spurs? Is VA Tech better than OSU? I don't see any problem with anyone thinking TCU was the better team, and I would agree. Head to head can be important in a lot of cases, but you're reducing the evaluation of two teams to only one game.
The whole ranking thing during the season was pretty dumb imo. Just come out with it at the end. They were never going to put a one loss TCU team in ahead of an undefeated FSU team, so ranking TCU ahead of FSU in the penultimate rankings was retarded
Using your own argument Baylor had every opportunity to win that WV game. To me how good the team you lose to is more important than head to head. That said I agree that Ohio State showed that they deserved the bid. I just think that TCU deserved it more than them and that this season shows why an 8 team playoff is needed. I've said all along I thought it should be 8 teams and I stand by that.I have no problem saying TCU is the better team. They both played every team in the conference, and TCU had a more difficult non-conference schedule. Does it make a difference in which they play the conference foes? They played the exact same teams. TCU had a better loss, but most importantly, I watched every TCU game except their opener and the SMU game, and I watched every Baylor conference game. I was convinced that TCU was the better team at the end of season, even after watching them lose to Baylor. That's a good enough reason for me. I think that's a pretty legitimate argument considering that's how the committee is expected to decide on the 4 best teams. It's not like TCU dominated WVU. They won by a single point. I don't see a legitimate argument where TCU gets in over Baylor especially when you consider their final opponents before their bowl games. The BIG 12 has nobody but themselves to blame for not getting into the playoff. It comes at the expense of one of their members, but maybe this will force them to expand and not be so greedy(unlikely, I know).
Idk but I'm excited to see it.song to use on Devontae Booker highlight reel?
