What's new

2014 College Football

so let's see if I got this right

Alabama, Oregon, and Florida St, and Ohio state are in assuming they all win their Championship games.

If One loses and Baylor beats Kansas St then Baylor may get in.

If both one of the 4 loses and Baylor lose and TCU beats Iowa St then TCU may get in.

Basically right?

^Does this scenario help BYU get a Big 12 invite?

If the four conference champions get in and leave the Big 12 in the cold, then yes I think that helps BYU. I wouldn't expect an invite immediately, but if that scenario plays out a couple of years in a row than the Big 12 people would have to think seriously about expanding.

If the Big 12 gets left out once, that's a good thing for BYU. If they get left out more than once within a couple years, especially with a couple highly ranked teams (like this year), they will look to expand immediately. If BYU can pull their head out of their *** and realize they need to do virtually whatever the Big 12 asks is another story entirely.

Sounds right to me.

^^^^ The only people that would find that weird are computer athletes that have never played organized team sports.. It was a close, exciting, game that ended on a 4th and goal stop by BYU. That alone would be enough. Add to that, they aren't good against the pass, played one of the best passing offenses in the country, and didn't get whopped. BYU finished a season 8-4 where it looked like they would go 6-6 at best at one point. And they took all kinds of **** from fans, media in the process despite having multiple serious injuries to key players that probably should have given them a worthy excuse to totally stink it up. Plenty of reasons to be happy about closing the season on a good note.

Sorry dude, but it's weird. Especially when you add in Bronco jumping into the arms of another grown man after beating a 5 win team. I admitted embarrassment over suspenders guy, I've admitted embarrassment for Ute fans storming the field when perhaps they shouldn't have. Every fan base gets embarrassed from time to time. Props to the BYU fans who know they were way over the top.

Ohio state over TCU and Baylor is kind of a joke imo.

Rough day for Miss St. fans yesterday. Hope qsh wasn't dumb enough to put money on that bball game too.
