2014 *Current Players* NBA Fantasy Draft

You're welcome. Consider it a sympathy gift for kicking your *** in the All-Time Players draft. ;)

I totally screwed the pooch my not following my gut and taking Favors first. To be honest, I'm not surprised that you wouldn't let me pry him away from you. He's a good fit for your team. Don't love all your pieces, but it's a solid group.

Boy oh boy, you guys had a history together since the All-Time Draft??!!

D-R-A-M-A-!-!-!

Don't know if I'd call it drama. My team was solid. His team was solid. Voters just liked my team a lot better and I beat him by 18 votes. I thought it should have been a lot closer, but for whatever reason, everybody just liked my team a lot better.

Yeah.. lol .. it is kinda sad in a way that we go through this draft process and after the first round half the teams will be gone.. all that thought and effort that's gone into it.. etc..

Yep. Felt really good about trading up for LeBron James, but then feel like I've been playing catch up the rest of the way. I have a good, young team with some emerging talent, and I'll add more to it before figuring how my lineup fits together. . . but I know it's not as good of a team as it could have been had I done a couple of things slightly differently.

Yup absolutely. You need to do this tournament a couple of times before you can learn from it and making it to the semi, to the finals or even to win.

Spy lost to Hack last year but was able to finally took the All-Time draft champ this year.

We should vote after the season.

Dat accuracy doe.

Dat informed voting doe.

We should actually do a simulation before the season start as well after the voting has finished since we have all current players now.

I am really interested to see what the simulation results says VS what JazzFanz thinks.

Voting would not be necessary after the season since the player performances would become a reality instead of voters' opinion.

How would you run a simulation? Video game? I'm not joking or being sarcastic. I'm legitimately curious as to how you would run a simulation of this thing?

Videogames would be too inaccurate. Besides it would take the next autumn to get our hands to an up to date player ratings game to see how they have performed this season.

The only reason why I disagree with you on this is that these drafts and subsequent tournaments are subjective based on how we feel a team would do with the players that they pick. Having up-to-date information doesn't overrule that subjective nature of voting, but it can help to inform and influence the voters. Especially with teams that are picking guys that they believe will become stars.

Those guys will look like great picks a year from now if they tear up the league and become the impact players that people project them to become. Guys like Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, Alec Burks and the Greek Freak were all picked based on potential. They might not garner the votes a week from now that they could after a full season of playing like badasses.

I for one would be very curious to see how the voting changes based on what we think will happen vs. what we know actually happened.
