2014 NBA Finals

Does Miami ever win game 1 of a series?

Good point.

Game 2 is going to be epic.

Lebron is going to come out with something to prove.

Meanwhile, I doubt SA's role players are going to wait until the 4th to actually show up.

SA's Big 3 need help. I look for Kawahi and Green to play better. And for Miami to not play as well (but Lebron will). Allen and Lewis played real well!

Game 2 is going to be epic. I have no idea who will win.

As a guy that has had to make sure that myself and the guys working for me don't experience heat stress in plus 100 degree conditions doing very strenuous work, I have to point out some no no's that probably contributed to brons cramping. It is counter intuitive but cold drinks and ice packs actually increase the likelihood of heat stress by ****ing with your internal temperature regulation. DRinks should be cool but not cold and ice packs should have not have been used. Also his cramps were probably from a lack of salt not lack of water. The players should have been given a choice between potato chips and sunflower seeds to munch on while on the bench.

almost always players drink gatorade in the sideline doe

Lots of people still bashing the Spurs and crying about these finals online.

It seems like a lot of people still think that OKC would have been a better matchup. I don't get it.

The Spurs haven't been boring for years. If you like good bball and offense, the Spurs are your team!
These Finals are awesome. 4th quarter Danny Green explosions and Lebron cramping?!
Most Finals suck (OKC vs Mia sucked. As did all the LAL shaq/Kobe Finals in the 2000s where they killed the EC champ).
It's the old guard vs new guard. Duncan was arguably the BP in his era. Lebron is clearly the BP of his. SA's Big 3 vs the Big 3 from Miami

Take LBJ out of Miami and they are first round fodder. Take any player out of the Spurs and they are still WC finalists. That's the difference.

Pickle juice helps.

Is it better than Gatorade? I don't know

I laugh at heat as excuse for Miami. Like Spurs played in different conditions. If anybody to blame is Heat's medical staff for not rehydrating their players properly and coach for not managing LBJ's minutes.
Would like to hear what Karl would say about this....

"It was right in my wheelhouse," Ray Allen said.

"I don't care. I'm from Texas, man. We couldn't afford air conditioning in high school," Chris Bosh said. ( ok primadona, I will give you 1% of respect back for that)
"It reminded me of the days at Cameron Indoor at Duke before they got AC," Shane Battier said.

"It felt like I was playing in the European Championship. We never have AC in Europe so it didn't bother me at all," Tony Parker said.

Who said heat was an excuse? Lebron not playing is the biggest factor in the loss. Whether that's his fault, coaches or trainers, I'm not sure, but both teams were dealing with the heat.

Didn't Parker sit out for a few mins late in the 4th?

Part of me wonders if an athletic freak like Lebron cramps up because he extends his body so much. I mean, he's so big and fast, those muscles are working hard to move his 6 foot 9 frame so fast.

On the other hand, Westbrook uses at least as much energy and never seems to cramp up...

Lebron and Russell are the 2 players who use the most energy and put the most stress on their body that I've ever seen. The only exception might be Allen Iverson and DRose (and we all see how that has taken a toll).

I wonder about that too. Lebron was measured at 6'9" 267 before the 2012 Olympics. Never has a player so big been asked to do so much. Perhaps it's just too much sometimes, especially in 90 degree heat.
