2014 NBA Playoffs: 1st Round

Clippers owning Warriors despite sucking it up from the FT line. Warriors have no chance in this series.

basically they are classic 2 star system which won't translate to wins. you gotta have 1 more. they wish they kept harden, but you can't keep him because he cost too damn much. they brought in caron butler to be their new harden, but he is so damn inconsistent.

It's why you have to have a good coach who knows how to prepare their role players throughout the season. Dudes like Popovich build their guys up through the season so they are ready for the playoffs when it's time to take big shots. OKC doesn't do that nearly as well so you end up with a bunch of players who are predisposed to deferring.

I'm loving these playoffs though. The Western Conference top to bottom is just a brawl this year. Memphis is one of the toughest 7-seeds I can remember. Lots of teams are playing at a high level.

Ya maybe (probably) plus paul was bumping curry while curry was dribbling to his spot.

All of those fouls were ticky tack types and refs tend to swallow the whistle on final shots like that so i dont have much of a problem with it to be honest.
As long as the refs are consistent

Also.... curry got screwed.

Watching the post game and shaq, barkley, and kenny are all talking about it being an obvious foul and when i watch it again i agree

Yeah but the refs aren't gonna call that foul though. There is a higher level of tolerance in the last possession, they're saying "HEY WE'RE NOT GONNA BLOW THE WHISTLE - YOU WANNA WIN - YOU'VE GOTTA PLAY BETTER".

Blake Griffin is the Anne Hathaway of the NBA. You respect what he does, but you can't stand him regardless.

I am quite surprised at the number of potential upsets brewing. (upset being the lower seed winning).

Portland 2-0 over Houston
Memphis 2-1 over OKC
Atlanta 2-1 over Indy
Wizards 2-0 over Chicago
Mavs tied 1-1 with Spurs
Brooklyn tied 1-1 with Raptors
(Mavs and Nets listed because they stole homecourt advantage away)

Only Miami (up 2-0) and the Clippers (up 2-1) are taking care of business. This is quite unexpected but nice.
