2014 NBA Playoffs: 2nd Round

Thats the look i had watching the game at Hooters last night.

brooks was awful, but okc really need guys like marc gasol and have 1 more lethal shooter outside.

Off-ball players will never succeed in OKC with Brooks there. You have to create a system so those guys can get looks on a consistent basis. Sefalosha would probably be a fairly good 3pt shooter with the Spurs, but is useless in OKC. The only role player on OKC who does good is Reggie Jackson because he can ISO. Watching how bad their offense actually makes me mad. Brooks really going to allow Chris Paul to guard Durant?

Brooks' Thought Process: "Hey, Chris Paul is guarding Durant, let's have him post up 22 feet away from the basket."

but last time they met in the playoffs thunder had harden. big game 3 with 30pts. i just don't like the make up of this thunder team. too much dependence on KD and westbrook. and many would agree brooks is not a great coach. i never really believed in him. at the end of the day they are missing 1 key consistent scoring threat to me. and just not enough inside game. i'll not be surprised if thunder wins. but don't be surprised if spurs win. at least i won't.

Spurs will probably murder either team, but Clippers have a much better chance because their coach isn't Scott Brooks.

CP's D was good, but Westbrook didn't get KD the ball when he should have. CP was actually cheating on Durant to help on Westbrook because he knew Westbrook was going to take the shot. There were two crucial possessions when Westbrook shot the ball and Durant was actually open because CP was cheating. All he had to do was dump it to KD who was open in the paint. Westbrook still reverts to his old ways when it's crunch time. Don't know if he'll ever break that habit of hero ball.

The problem is brooks.

A guy like thabo would be like Danny Green for the Spurs. In Brooks' system, is thabo even allowed to shoot?

And for the life of me I don't understand why anyone hasn't helped Durant and Ibaka how to post up. Both have developed their jumpers but neither has a clue how to post up. Which is sad because both would be devastating in the post. Especially Ibaka, who's one of the most talented bigs in the league.

I can't figure out why more NBA players don't develop post games either. Maybe it's too boring? I think the only reason Andre Miller is still in the league is because he can post-up. That dude is smart.
