Yep. This is the big difference. Today even when nothing of substance really happens things can still blow up on social media. Even when a story is positive it can still be guaranteed that large numbers of people will weigh in with negative reactions.In their era it was way easier to contain the damage Jordan's private life and personality could've caused.
