My thoughts/questions:
1. Which rules are you planning to use when comparing selected teams? This year?
2. Why everybody seems to be so sure that because some player averaged a la 25 ppg/10 rbs on other NBA players, then he will be also as good against other GOOD players? Probably requires good data mining skills, but maybe somebody can calculate what are the stats of the selected players when you only take account the games played against each other? For example, what could be the PPG of Lebron James only in those games where at least one drafted player plays? I.e i think that the PPG on 82 games season for Michael Jordan will be much less if most of the time the defender is somebody like Lebron, Durant etc.
3. I think that all of the games between the teams that are created in this draft are very similar to the USA-Spain final game either 2008 or 2012 Olympics.
