I dont know how much it matters. The Celtics are going to sell Hayward on the fact they think they will be able to get Jimmy Butler or Paul George also. I think it all depends on how much Boston has to give up to get Butler or George. If they have to give up too much, the team might not be attractive to go to. The team Boston wants to build and this Boston team won't look too similar.

Of course Hayward wouldn't join this team. He'd join the one with Hayward, another marquee player, a #1 pick, etc.

Or he'll sign with Utah. Please!

Yeah but if you are Chicago and you know Boston has to make this trade to get Butler to convince Hayward to join the Celtics, do they have leverage to ask for more? Is there a point where they say too much? Does Hayward want to join the Celtics if they cant get Butler or George? Knowing Aigne he is going to try and play hardball w/ offers.

If that's the case I'd probably swap Olynyk for a future 1st rounder. That's a good young team to re-start with.

IT and Horford are flawed as cornerstones, even if they get Butler. They're both being exposed in this series.
