2016 NBA Season Notes/Info

His 3 pt shot finally looks decent. If he starts hitting close to 40% on 3's, look out.
Yeah and defensively he is strong. He isn't breaking down defense and score but neither is Kawhi, you just need a good offensive system he can fit into.

No he doesn't, Kawhi shot it better as a rookie than he does now. 61% from the FT stripe.
Kawhi had that Spurs 'shot doctor' helping him to where he is now though.

Also I remembered the Jazz being high on his shooting during the draft?

33% on 4.3/36. 62% from the charity line. He's years away from cracking 40 in games IMO.

Kawhi is a ****ing crazy offensive juggernaut those last seasons. One of the best guys at isolating and (ab)using mismatches. I think Gordon is good at completely different aspects of the game than Kawhi. Physical attributes that allow them to be good defensively in different ways is the only thing they share. We'd also compare Kawhi with Rudy then.

Shot 4 from 4 on 3's last game and his shot looked really good. Some people said Sabonis won't have NBA 3pt range and he is shooting 43% so far. Some kids do work on it in the gym you know...

Translating it into games is a different thing. Very rarely players make a huge jump in a short period of time, most of the time it's a slow process and in my experience the free throws are the first thing to touch the 80% range and 3s follow afterwards to enter the very efficient 37%+ territory. I didn't really pay enough attention to Sabonis to say something substantial about his situation.

James Harden: 1st in NBA history w/ 30 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds in a game in which he played fewer than 30 minutes (via EliasSports)

Hornacek pretty much cost the Knicks the game vs ATL. Terrible tech late inthe 4th then just had some terrible tactics in OT backfire.
