2016 NBA Season Notes/Info

Portland with 60 points in the 1st half and down by 21. Cavs two points shy of franchise record for a half (83).
 
Tom Thibadeau's rep as a defensive mastermind is being tested. No way the Wolves should be this bad on defense. KAT, Wiggins, and Rubio should be enough to play at least average defense.

And the Warriors with 80 in the first half against the Lakers. I guess Cleveland and the Warriors are pretty good.

Its funny they took Dieng infront of Gobert and now this is their issue.. they also have two highly touted defensive PG's that they paid a great price in draft picks for..

I certainly had Gobert way higher on my board, I still don't really have a good grasp on why he fell that far, I know Lindsey has hinted that they didn't know he was going to be this good - but how could all those teams have missed?

They should've taken Jamal Murray obviously. I really like the idea of moving Karl to PF and putting him next to a true 7-footer, so Poeltl would've probably been better than Dunn too.


The rumor today is they might want to trade for Luol Deng..

I've never been so confident in a team's championship chances at this stage. I could only compare it to how confident I was in Anthony Davis' chances at being the #1 pick after watching the season opener..

FWIW I thought the Cubs were gonna win the chip very early in the baseball season too.

I'm also extremely confident that Harden will be the MVP
