2017 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar-Bob McAdoo
Amar'e Stoudemire-Elton Brand
Vince Carter-Adrian Dantley
Julius Irving-Allan Houston
Kyrie Irving-Tiny Archibald

Kareem was great, no doubt. But he was soft as ****. Amar'e and Kyrie are pretty much sieves on defense. Vince and Julius can dunk, great. This is just an odd hodgepodge of players, quite frankly. I hate how they mix and match. Compare that to my team.

Chauncey Billups-Joe Dumars
Ray Allen-Drazen Petrovic
Grant Hill-Gordon Hayward
Lebron James-Wes Unseld
Chris Webber-Joel Embiid

As athletic as Ron's team is, mine is perhaps more athletic and has infinitely better chemistry, iq and passing. I will play his little game of running and pass the ball all over, his idiot defenders not rotating quickly enough as Chauncey "Mr. Big Shot" and Ray-Ray drill 3's and Grant and Lebron catch alley oops. It would be pretty ugly.

why on earth would you draft Gordon Hayward? You know this isn't Celtizfanz

Which brings me back to my point that he has never been out of the first round until he joined the Spurs late in his career and only played 6 games. As you can see he was playing heavy minutes in those first round series too.

Were his teammates able to stay healthy, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Take a look at the lineups he was playing with. It was awful.

PG - Allen Iverson, Jeff Hornacek
SG - Jerry West, Darrell Griffith
SF - James Worthy, Alex English
PF - Bob Petit, Dolph Schayes
C - Bill Russell, Deandre Jordan

Anchored by possibly the greatest winner in sports history, Bill Russell, who won 11 rings over a 13 year career and revolutionized the game with his defense. They didn't count blocks during his career, or else he would likely be one of the top shot blockers of all time. Quite simply, he made every one on his team better. He was no slouch at scoring in the post either, averaging 15.1 PPG and an astonishing 22.5 RPG. Backed up by bangers (Deandre Jordan, Bob Petit, and Dolph Schayers) this is one of the most fearsome front courts in the game. Combined with the raw scoring ability of Allen Iverson and the shooting and vision of Jeff Hornacek and Jerry West, as well and an inside/outside trio of the Golden Griff, Big Game James, and Alex English, they will surely follow player/coach Russell to an early victory. Remember, there were only 2 seasons out of 13 that Bill DIDN'T win a championship.

Jason Williams
Jimmy Butler
DeMar DeRozan
Karl-Anthony Towns
Mark Eaton

that's my 2nd unit, I may start them the first game so my starters are rested for the championship
