Take a couple days for u to make a draft lotto vid then start the draft after a day or so of a trading period.

Let's try to get the teams, have me put together some video for the lottery again, and have the draft order determined by Friday. I think we should also cme up with how we will determine the seedings prior to the draft.

Then, we begin the actual draft this Friday (if those in line to select are up and want to pick) or just wait til next Monday. Don't have anyone on the clock on the weekends. Hell, this Saturday, I may be going out to a shore bar all day and getting bombed, Sunday I have church and my daughter's friends bday party. If we start actually drafting on Monday, 8/7, we will probably finish around 8/20, and the playoffs will take us to September. Then football season starts and waiting for the Jazz isn't so bad.

I want to get everyone's input on these topics.

- Trades

Trade limit? Do we want to make a rule where you can't trade an OTC pick?

- Tie-Breaker

Do we want to have a three person committee? Make whoever receives the most votes from the other competitors the winner?

- OTC

We haven't had a problem in the past with people not making their picks in a timely manner. It has been brought up by a few that there shouldn't be a running clock on the weekends.

Thoughts?

Once we get a majority on these topics I will update he first page with the rules and regulations. Then, nobody can say they didn't know about the rules and we can avoid the controversy we had in the all-time draft.

Agreed. We don't need to rush, but if it's really slow it gets boring and a lot more disconnect among the gm's. I don't want that to happen

Your question has been answered. I'd find out how the system simulates, and pick the players that give me the most points. The outcome will be known before the draft even ends.

I'll be finished the video by late Wednesday night. Possibly even much earlier and by late tonight. Relax.

Even if we draft 14 picks a day (it won't be that many on the weekends), this will last 11.5 days. More likely though, once we start drafting, it takes about two weeks to complete. Then we have the playoffs. The whole process should still last 'til very late August.
