He was a good shooter. He has become inefficient. His TS% is bad. Well below league average, due to taking his shots from mi-range at a not-good rate.
 
I just want to say I don't disagree with the premise that Dirk is good to have off the bench for 20 minutes a game. I have no gripes with that, only with the fact the Dirk remains an efficient shooter at his age. He's still a HoF who provides leadership, championship experience, and okay contributions. I'm not hating on Dirk.

Being an efficient shooter =/= being an efficient scorer.

Dirk is still an efficient shooter. A PF who shoots his percentages on jump shots is still very rare.

You dont need advanced stats like TS% to know if someone is a good shooter. You just need shot chart and player mapping data.
