What's new

2018-2019 NBA Season

Lebron was still king when he went out. We'll see how he comes back from injury but I'm not betting against him.

By stats he's still pretty much as good as ever.

Lol did you even watch any games? He was slacking on defense worse than Harden for couple last years. Yes he was still getting stats, but those were not better than top 5 I mentioned and his impact on the game was definitely worse than any of top 5.

You need to put down the bong. Lebron did what he had to do. He had them winning until they got the injury bug. He was usual Lebron.

Look at their record 3 months into the season:

He certainly was not his usual dominant player on both ends of the floor. His defense was terrible. Best players do not allow themselves to slack on defense.

He got injured on Christmas day(his first real injury in 18 years), after that he had to be careful as he played his way back with the groin injury.
Before his injury he had them at 21-14 and vying for one of the best records in the West. You'll recall they were way ahead of the Jazz. The team then went 6-11 without him. Then the wheels really came off when they were decimated with injuries. At that point he went into preservation mode.

Check out this article written right after his return from injury when he took them to an overtime victory and and was responsible for all 11 of the teams points in OT.

Well I disagree with you. I think he is definitely past his prime and surpassed by at least 5 players( maybe even 6 if you add P. George)

Harden

And even Harden played better defense than LeBron this season

Best players do allow themselves to slack on defense is the point though.

Curry slacks on D often as well.

Slacking occasionally is one thing... pretty much not playing defense at all is different.
Harden has widely been know as one of the worst defenders in the NBA. Yet he is also one of the best players in the NBA.

Didn't think about the Raptors having home court vs. G.S.

Could Kawhi lead them to a victory in game 1?
