2018 Championship Bus!!!!

Here's how we faired vs. Houston this season.

We played on November 5th and lost by 27 at their place. I think it's fair to say Mitchell then wasn't the player he is now.

The next game was at home on December 7th and we lost by 11.

We then lost by 21 at the end of December at their place sans Rudy.

Then, during our hot sreak, we lost by 11 to them.


This is going to be tough. Very, very tough. Rudy had no more than nine rebounds in any game. That needs to change. For us to have a chance in this series, he needs to average somewhere around 16/13 imo.
 
Houston is a bad match-up. I hope we can put ourselves in the position to be competitive at the end of games...

Exum/Burks will need to step up!
Crowder will need to step up!
Can Favors/Gobert play together as much in this series?

It'll be fun. Mitchell gives me irrational confidence. I finally know how Lakers fans felt with Kobe.

No it was dumb. Just regular American barbecue with Aussie names on the menu so you have to ask what everything is and get answers like mashed potatoes, French fries, barbecue Shrimp, etc.

They had crocodile on the menu but it was just an American meat (brisket or something) and one of their meals has “barbie” in the name like throw another shrimp on the barbie. Another meal had “dingo” in the name.

It sucked tbh.

lol sounds dreadful. Had kangaroo at a restuarant, delicious !

I still think HOU is not that better of a playoff team than OKC. They struggled vs NBA's #23 defense. Harden had a 2/18 game. Both his and CP3's postseason careers are not bright. OKC on the other hand was a real contender. Their blitzkrieg offense was so dangerous. Deflections, steals, offensive rebounds, toughness, great homecourt, stars plus Steven Adams, good coaching. We beat them and we can beat HOU too.


Three key factors:
1. UTA has overachieved this season already. Will they stop or will they stay hungry? From G1 to G5 they improved and played better every game (minus that collapse) they should bring a better game than G5, that's all.

2. HOU is not that physical and tough. UTA certainly has an advantage. Besides they rely on drawing fouls, flop a lot. Will refs allow tough physical games or blow their whistles often?

3. Who starts in Rubio's absence? Obvious alternatives could lead a lot TOs, and it's basically game over.

If all 3 of these go UTA's ways they win the series.

I'd certainly feel more positive if we had a healthy Rubio for the series. If Donovan plays at full speed on Wednesday it removes what little doubt there is he's superhuman after that ankle turn! We still got this, just need to tighten things up.
 
I think the Jazz really did punt game 1 after coming off that emotional OKC series. Game 2 will see a different team. Really, really need Exum or Burks to have a massive game.
 
Need Rubio, tbh. Offense struggles when he's out. Saw it in game 6 versus the Thunder, though we pulled it off. Rockets aren't the Thunder.
