2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

We talk a lot in this thread about trading Rubio, Exum or Favors. We should also be talking about trading a package of Thabo, Udoh, and Bradley.

Those guys combine for $10 million salaries. Thabo and Udoh are expirings but could give a playoff aspiring team some quality minutes. Bradley could be considered a positive asset due to his contract and age. Package those 3 guys with a 1st rounder and maybe we could add another quality player.

If we trade Bradley and Udoh, and Favors goes down (not far-fetched), who's playing behind Gobert?

Maybe we trade for a guy who can play a little C. If not, we monitor the buyout market or use our trade exception for a guy like Kaminsky or another similar center.

Trade for a C??? We can do better than that.

I think almost every guy we want is unrealistic. Middleton, Beal, Niko (**** him anyway tbh), even Brogdan.

With the Wolves sliding, I wonder if we could get Covington. He's at 10.4M this year. Sefolosha's 5.25M, Allen's 2.07M, and Niang's 1.5M (this guy is making this much wtf) for him and KBD and a 1st.

I'd do that. They'd get a 1st, Allen, and free some cap space. I doubt it would be enough for them to bite. But to me, he's much more gettable now than any of these bigger names now or in the off-season.

No. Rubio is a good teammate. He isn't going to sit out for any reason other than actually being injured.

But it's his contract year. He has alot to consider cause if he comes back and they lose. Everyone will say it's all Rubios fault. Ricky if you read this sit out the next 2 games lol

I'm not a Rubio fan either. But for his sake if I was his manager I would tell him not to play next 2 games. I would tell him let's see if this winning streak was for real or was it the teams they played

I was thinking like a Dedmon or Olynyk type. Those guys could give us another wrinkle in our playoff looks. But those are just examples.

As for Covington, I would love the guy, but we can't get him without using Exum.

Saric is interesting though. His numbers are down across the board since his move to Minny. He doesn't seem to fit next to Towns as well as they thought he would.
