Honestly, I wouldn't trade either Crowder or Favors for Mirotic. He's kinda overrated on this board.
Mavs are an odd franchise sometimes, don't understand why they're alienating their 2nd year PG lol.
Yup, he is done. We got luck he didn't sign an extension. We dodged a bullet thereGeorge Hill should be available this summer. Unfortunately, that would be the 2019 George Hill.
Been watching the clips close, I could see them falling out of the playoffs again, then I can’t see the clips wanting him for a max.Just heard locke breakdown Tobias Harris and his potential fit here... it was good and now I want to wait until FA and test if the Clips will give him a max, make him wait, or if we have a shot here. He'd be phenomenal here and if the Clips slide I can see him giving us strong consideration.
Rozier is a much better player starting then coming off the bench. You know Rozier has a worse TS% than either Rubio, DM, or Exum (our three worst in the rotation this year), don't you? He does rebound well and doesn't turn the ball over much. But he's having a terrible shooting year and also has a worse AST% than either of those three.
Edit: a little late on the draw again... Thanks Piso
Rubio plays good defense, your stats are failing you once again.I agree about the shooting. I dont think Rozier is the right choice here. But one big difference between the two that makes Rozier a slightly better fit here is he is a good defender, Rubio is not.
I didn't watch the segment but this appeared on my feed:
The Jazz aren't going to make a move for Otto Porter or anyone else with a big contract after this season. They think they can sign Khris Middleton or someone like it and are going to wait to do so.
Once they strike out however and don't sign anyone and end up using the cap space to bring back Favors & Rubio, Dennis Lindsey should borderline be fired after it all goes down.
Stretch bigs just have such a huge offensive impact... just look at the difference between the lineup data with Favs and the starters versus Jae and the starters.
In a vacuum Favs is the best player of those three... just doesn’t fit with our other best players nearly as well.
I don't necessarily agree with the part about Lindsey being fired but I think you hit the nail on the head with the rest of your post. I think the Jazz really believe they have a chance to land someone in the Middleton/Harris tier and therefore I don't see them making any major moves at the trade deadline because they want to preserve their cap space for free agency. I also think you're right that the Jazz will likely strike out on acquiring one of their primary targets. My biggest fear is picking up Favors option, re-signing Rubio and essentially bringing this exact same team back again next season and I think there's a pretty good chance that's exactly what ends up happening.
