Hypothetically you could trade Rubio, Thabo, Udoh and Bradley for Conley and the salaries would match.

Dont think we would do that since we would be paper thin at backup C, but then again if we got Jabari after a buyout, we would have Favors, Exum, and Jabari for a playoff run.

Tl;dr getting Conley puts a ceiling on our team logistically. Grabbing Niko puts a sun roof on that ceiling.

Yep you get a trial run with Mirotic, and if its a great fit can pay him whatever we want. With Conley, you are locking the core in place for the next 2 years with no way to get a good stretch PF or another big wing, both of which this team needs. I guess the MLE might get you Parker, but all signs point to him being unplayable with his defense.

This trade offer is really pretty good. If NOLA does accept it, they are going to have to dump 3 or 4 players prior to making the trade so they can open up the necessary roster spots.

Or find a 3rd team to absorb a player.

Favors is our backup C. I'd be much more worried about losing favors than Udoh and Bradley

If we don't get a PF or C, we could be thin at either PF or C because we lose Thabo, Udoh and Bradley. If Gobert or Favors got hurt, we would have a crisis.

But I would still do the trade. Add a first and give Memphis a ton of savings.
