2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

I wish he was a little better shooter but I think this is right. Kuzma has some extra hype that isn’t fully warranted for his inefficient production... Saric the shine has come off a bit but he’d be such a good fit.

We all have to remember that this is a business. If we got Kuzma, we would get a heck a lot more national media attention than if we got Saric. Also add in that Kuzma played at Utah which means he might have a long term fit here next to Donovan.

I know he's a bit inconsistent, but the guy can flat out score. Put him next to Mitchell and Gobert, and we have our big 3 for a while. If Exum were to materialize into a good penetrate and pitch guy while also being a strong defender, we might have a big 4.

News just came out that Wall ruptured his Achilles at home when he slipped... so the heel spurs, infection and achilles now...

So Wiz how you feeling about holding onto Otto now?

Ummmm Kuzma isn't a draw unless he's a Laker... the best business is winning ****. Saric might be better at that. I don't know that either is available for a first. If the asking price was equal I'd go Kuzma because I think his ceiling as a player is higher. If we are looking at what guy would help us win more now... I think that'd be Saric.

Mike Conley is near the end of his career and he doesn't make us even remotely competitive with the Warriors. Plus he's ball dominant, and Donovan Mitchell plays best when HE'S dominating the ball. Sending out young Exum/draft picks for him is a horrible long-term decision imo. It's paying, what, $100 million to get to OKC/Portland's level? I just don't get how strategically it makes sense.

4/170M for ruptured achilles wall... starting next year... oh boy!

You've never watched him play.

I don't believe AD wouldnt want to go to Boston. I think a lot of the people advising him don't want him in Boston. Ainge will give them Tatum and pieces and try to convince AD to stay.

Ainge is not gonna trade Tatum. He's dangling Tatum as a carrot to convince the Pelicans to keep AD past the trade deadline so that this summer the offers for him will be weaker and he can try to get him cheap.
