2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Conley knows he's getting old and wants to go to a winner. Utah isn't bad, but getting Conley doesn't push them to elite and he knows it. He'd rather to go somewhere that's a top five team this year.

Which is fine - screw him. He's overpriced and we should go younger if anything.
So he wants to stay in Memphis or go to Detroit? Its that its Utah

JR Smith is a lying piece of ****. Who else complained about that?

Seriously? This isn’t an unknown topic. I’m not basing my suspicions on JR Smith’s take. Just google “are utah jazz fans racist” and you’ll get multiple stories of current and former players complaining.

Do we really have such short memories?

Let’s not just dismiss these concerns because they make us feel uncomfortable.

Both my grandmothers are deceased and their assets were liquidated long ago.

If your disagree refute the point in a mature and fact based manner.
No I'm sick of your political ******** that infects everything you type out. Don't bring it in the Jazz section, it's not relevant as much as you wish it was. I'm confident the players don't look over our legislature and go that's a no for me man. Also you phone thing/rasicm is ******** and not even accurate. You should be quarantined in the same room as Dutch.

Utah doesn’t exactly do itself any favors.

The legislature commonly goes against the mainstream. Just look at how they’ve killed Medicaid expansion, propositions (like medical marijuana) and look the other way on civil rights. We have a reputation for being backwards and we’ve done our part to earn it.

Fans acted like *** clowns after we beat OKC. I was embarrassed by how fans stuck phones right in westbrook’s face.

And there enough smoke about how inappropriate our fans can be regarding race to warrant at least suspicion that there’s a fire. I personally haven’t heard racist things said at games. But there’s been enough players and former players to comment that it at least warrants some consideration.

For POC, there aren’t many worse destinations in the league. Factor in the small market stigma, and it’s an even sell. Had Gobert played in Los Angeles or Boston, he’d have been an all star at least 3 times over by now.

thriller talking facts-- but rn we have Ekpe Udoh who might be the most woke NBA player rn so i'm sure players can reach out to him to talk about the black experience in Utah.

I have been a season ticket holder for 5 years now and I have never seen even a hint of racism in any home game.

Hahahahahahajajaja.

Sheer luck as he was an undrafted player that was cut by the clippers. Jingles’ success isn’t so much about the jazz finding him as it is about him working his *** off and improving. He wasn’t near the player he is today when he first joined the team. Jingles is a testament to hard work more than any outstanding scouting job.

they're talking about joe johnson

If only if only if only this site had a solution to your problem. Sigh, what if, now work with me here. What if the site provided you with a button which blocked you seeing my posts? Almost like a button that would help you “ignore” the posts that make you feel uncomfortable.

Sigh if only this site had something like that.

Westbrook didn't say anything about racism. He said fans were disrespectful. I don't want to dismiss those claims because I have no way of knowing if they're true. But I find them surprising. I haven't personally heard anything like that in the arena, and I wouldn't stand for it if I did.

Edit: I mean I would call them out if I heard that. I'm sure most fans would do the same.

Locke mentioned Milwaukee with regard to Conley... not sure what Memphis would want we Bledsoe, but Milwaukee has no picks... so is there a 3-4 team scenario where Milwaukee moves Hill or Bledsoe with Brogdon for Conley (to aggregate their guards in a cost controlled manner). I don't think we'd flip Bled for Rubio and a pick... trying to cook up a scenario where memphis gets value for Bled and we give a first for Brogdon.

I'm making lemonade bitches... so just give me a hug and let me have this.
