Doesn't matter. Mitchell is selling tons of merchandise and season ticket holders are being hit with a huge price increase. As long as the general public continues to support a treadmill team, the FO has little incentive to take risks.

Dennis first priority is to ensure he has a job until retirement. The board's role is to maximize profits. Both are doing a helluva job at that.

Confused why anyone thinks Tobias staying in Philly is a done-deal. I'm not even sure they offer him the full-max (or that they should, considering he's clearly the 4th option on that team).

Ya, they'd have to. Imagine the disaster if Conley declined and Mirotic signs elsewhere next season. Risky move. But high reward if it works out.

So who do you think we get in free agency? The studs and even 2nd tier guys likely re-sign with their teams. Or if not, we're not getting Durrant, Kyrie, etc.

Lowry is a lateral move, IMO, vs. Rubio, except he allows Utah to kick the can down the road another year. Jazz obviously want to move on from Bricky but would still have a tradeable asset in place (Lowry's contract) for next season. If Exum is ready, great. If not can still target a player via trade or in 2020 free agency. Or both.

I meant, imagine if the Jazz gave up Rubio, Favors, and 2 first round picks, only to have Conley start to physically decline due to age, and Mirotic deciding to sign elsewhere.

I think there is a real possibility the Jazz does this if Memphis accepts the Jazz' offer.
