2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

Or route Davis to Portland, Skal and Hezonja to Phoenix, and figure out which seconds are going where.

That would be sweet. Portland might want Davis back badly enough that they could aid us in selling Phoenix on the deal. If Portland was down to just take Davis back, Phoenix might be sold on two young players and two picks

Portland will likely cut salary in any move they make... if we can get a second for Mudiay we could route that Phoenixs way. Unfortunately they won a big game tonight and are right in the thick of the jog for the #8 seed.
Baynes is also ded right now. I honestly am not sure exactly how much he helps us against the clips mavs and rockets. Will likely help against the Lakers with Dwight.

when everyone was going crazy for him he was shooting like 50% from three... the shooting has fallen off a cliff. I’m probably wrong but I’d rather roll the dice and get Vonleh. The cost has to be low to get him... I think he has a better body type to help on LBJ, AD, and the backup center for the other west contenders.

I always hear people talking about how great Robert Covington is and how he’s an amazing fit and so valuable... then I watch him play and I’m thoroughly unimpressed. For every good thing he does I swear he does 3 bad things... gambles, gets blown by, or shoots a terrible shot. Don’t get me wrong I’d take him on our team but I feel like his trade value is way more than it should be.

weird place to put this rant but if I was Minny I’d cash out that chip.

A few teams interested in Trevor Booker ..

I always liked Trevor , not the smartest player going around , but when the team is down and lacking energy , Trevor sure can light a spark and help out in a 5-10 min span .

Yep, and the track record of him still being a decent player despite not giving a **** is just as long.

Getting him for (essentially) free is a great move for a team in need of a center.
I was a big fan of WCS coming out of college. I was tantalized by the idea that he could be a 7-footer that could guard all 5 positions. I’m mesmerized by elite defenders. I’ve been mocked for asking for bulldogs, nonstop, for years.

It’s taken years, but I’ve finally given up on WCS. Dallas needed to do something, so they did. But, I’ve become 99% convinced that WCS is done. 2nd round pick was just wasted.

If WCS plays at even replacement level (which he has, even this season - stats have him as the best Warrior this season - 2nd in RPM to Russell, 1st in PIPM, 2nd in raw RAPM to Lee) it's good value, wasted 58th pick, lol, what a joke.

People see a dude who doesn't try (and importantly, doesn't look like he tries) and put their head up their *** and ignore all actual results. Truth is is that even when he doesn't try WCS is a decent NBA player.

WCS has been let go by two bad NBA teams. The Warriors are really bad this year.

I’d rather have Bradley and Morgan. Hell, I’d rather roll with Bradley and Morgan in the playoffs.

I’ve watched plenty of WCS, btw.

And 2nds can be super important. Ask Jordan Clarkson.
