I am still trying to find the racist part of his tweet. Telling people to go fix the problems where you come from and then come back and show us how is not racist.

History lesson!

Telling people of color to “go back to where they came from” is what nativists told immigrants in the 19th century. It was a bigoted attack used against the Irish and Chinese primarily. Then at Eastern/southern Europeans, Jews, Italians, and poles especially. white supremacists then used these attacks on black people in the 19th and 20th century as well.

So at best? It’s a bigoted attack.
At worst? It’s a racist and sexist attack.

So take your pick.

1. Besides, all 4 are citizens and 3 of them were born here.

2. why are we telling congresspeople who are proposing solutions to problems to leave? Isn’t that their job? Or is their job merely to play golf with trump and help pick out his favorite starburst flavors?

3. Lastly, guys, this isn’t that hard. If you don’t see what everyone is freaking out over, maybe read a damn newspaper or google the history behind these sort of things before spewing your ignorant opinion out there? Doing your own damn research isn’t that hard. Lazy *** People who can’t name 3 branches of government or who lack basic understanding of racial matters in our country are what gave us trump.

That's an interesting read. I was mostly trying to point out how long it's been since the budget was balanced, as opposed to giving credit to Clinton.

I don't understand why this isn't a bigger issue to people. If you are an american citizen, your portion of the federal debt is over $65K. Not to minimize other issues that are important to people, but if we end up like Greece, none of the other issues that people are talking about are going to matter.

The last two Democratic administrations have lowered the deficit.

Nation Debt when when he left: $19.9 Trillion

I think I already know the answer to this question but I just want to emphasize something.

1. What ever happened to trumpcare? Remember? He promised a better health care program that would:

A) Cover Everyone
B) Lower Costs
C) Result in the Same/Better Health Care Outcomes

Where is this plan? It’s never been made.

2. What ever happened to erasing the deficit? He promised:

A) He would erase the deficit and balance the budget by the end of his term.

Yet, the deficit has exploded

3. He promised he would fix immigration by:

A) Building a wall that MEXICO would pay for.
B) Coming up with a solution for DREAMERS

The situation at the border has never been so inhumane. Mexico refuses to pay for any wall. DREAMERS are still in flux.

4. He promised he’d bring coal and manufacturing back by:

A) His Dealmaking skills.

Yet, coal jobs have decreased on his watch and GM is closing more plants.

5. He’d make us more respected around the world, win peace in the Mideast, and we’d be so tired of winning:

A) Through his will we’d kill it in foreign policy.

Yet, Even our greatest allies call him “inept, corrupt, and unstable.”
Tensions between major players in the middle east haven’t been this hot in years.
Where have we seen big wins in the foreign arena?

I totally agree. Most candidates say they're going to do something about it and then do nothing. Congress sure as heck does nothing about it. It's like everyone has just thrown their hands in the air and said the debt's too big. Nothing we can do. Rand Paul got railroaded last week because he tried to pay for the 9/11 health costs by reducing debt somewhere else. He didn't just want to add new debt.

No it’s not. The CBO warned republicans that their tax cuts would explode the deficit. However, their corporate donors demanded that they pass the tax cut regardless of what it would do to the deficit. Remember this?

He absolutely deserved to get railroaded for that, especially in light of the fact that he voted for the tax cuts, which came with a trillion dollar price tag. Providing care to 9/11 first responders are a drop in the ocean compared to that. Kind of shows you where his priorities are.

I think Bernie Sanders is the only one with a real chance of beating Trump. Trump got elected in large part because the majority of people were longing for an anti-establishment candidate to get into the white house and shake up the political status quo. I get the feeling that is still what the majority of people want. Bernie is the one major Democrat contender who has that anti-establishment edge to him. He's got some very "out there" type of ideas just like Trump. He's got a strong group of rabid supporters too. Young people seem to attach to his ideas well. Biden and Warren are both viewed as establishment, "the old guard".

Realistically though, Trump is probably going to get re-elected. Incumbents almost always win re-election. The only way he might lose is if the economy goes downhill or he gets us into an unwanted war.

I can't tell if you're being condescending or not.

Obama's deficits (additions to the Nation Debt) were between $1.3 and $1.4 Trillion each year between 2009 and 2011. No president in history has had this high of a deficit in any single year (although Trump is sure trying).

When the Nation debt goes from $10.626 Trillion to $19.9 Trillion over an 8-year period, you're going to have a hard time convincing anyone (provided they can do arithmetic) that Obama "lowered the deficit".
