2020 Presidential election

From a pure risk management perspective, asking your voters to vote in-person on election day is fraught with peril. Every year, machines go down, lines are long and some might become disenfranchised and leave, weather issues preventing people from voting (especially seniors), wrong polling place, not on voting roll, etc.

I'd much rather be in Biden's position where you rack up votes in advance and spreading that risk over many days vs. one. If I were to venture a guess, it will make for some good case studies/college thesis' in the future.

Make no mistake - this is part of the "November surprise."

Trump is urging all his voters to vote at the polls. On election night Trump is going to look to delay the certification of the vote count in several swing states by claiming voter fraud via mail-in ballots. He'll use the courts to try to throw out mail-in ballots (no doubt the vast majority of which will be for Biden) in an attempt to change the outcome of the election - state-by-state.

It'll be just like Bush v. Gore in 2000. But this time it won't be just Florida - it'll be Florida plus another 6 to 10 states. And what do you think will happen when it gets to the Supreme Court and the 3 justices that he personally appointed?

Hang on to your hats.

Yes, we have to expect he will try to retain power in the fashion you describe. But I would not discount the impact early voting might very well have, in Biden’s favor. Judging by the lines this week, and the willingness of citizens to vote the bum out, again, based on comments from the people willingly enduring those lines.

And in RI, where I live, the state received less than half the mail ballot requests they planned for. Interesting to know if a similar pattern played out in other states. Trump is counting on far more of his supporters voting in person on Nov. 3’rd. That may very well be, but, at this stage, I anticipate a landslide, which, in part thanks to two plus weeks of early voting, might even become apparent before Election Day is over. That said, the two months plus separating election night from inauguration may be quite tumultuous. And I expect Trump to try to get the election to the Supreme Court. Personally, I think he is in for a big surprise before it ever gets to that stage.

Agreed - this is why I've always said this needs to be a blow out. Biden needs to win by 8-10% nationally and greater than 3-5% in each swing state - otherwise Trump and Barr will turn this into a cluster **** like you've never seen.

Get in office, sell out the American people, the goal of all career politicians but a few. Clinton had a private server and was selling access. This isn't funny and y'all who post here will defend it. What does that say about you all? Traitors.

Defend what again? Who are you talking about getting in office and selling out the American people? Biden? He hasn't won the election. Yet.

So, you're saying you got yours, and you don't care about the damage you left behind? Thanks for telling us.

America was built on the backs of the masses. America will be fine in the hands of the masses.
He’s a populist when it suits him. Remember the Clive Bundy **** that got him all riled up?

Unmerited broadside attacks on the entire community of Jazzfanz. Where have we seen this playbook before?
