No. He took the deferments that a lot of the wealthy class did - I think he took a college deferment and/or a medical one. Some people have trashed him for it, but I wouldn’t blame anyone for using legal means to avoid Vietnam.

I find war hawks who avoided service/never served to be hypocritical. Trump avoided service, but to his credit, is not a war hawk.
