2020 Presidential election

Bloomberg looks like he skipped prep. I'm shocked his advisors let him on stage to look this bad.
I mean, unless they've got a time machine and could stop him from saying all the awful **** he's said and from doing all the terrible things he's done I'm not sure what else they could do. On the other hand, if he was running as a Republican maybe he'd have a shot.

I get what you're saying, but I'm sure there are better ways to handle it than this. And Bloomberg clearly had the option to just skip this debate and face essentially no consequences. How could he expect to have gained from this?

Yeah, I was mostly being facetious, but with his record he has no business running for president. It's only by virtue of his insane amount of money that he's even on the stage right now.

What if the blue alternative is as bad or worse than Trump?
Well I don't really think that's possible. If enough evidence were to come about to make believe that the blue alternative is worse then I would stay home and not even vote like usual.

In the end, because of the electoral college, my vote doesn't matter anyway. The Republican candidate will receive the electoral votes of the state I live in.

It's definitely possible. Trump is awful, but I think he's achieved an almost boogeyman like status where it's hard for people to imagine that it's possible for someone to be worse. But if you take a couple minutes to look into Bloomberg's past actions, in both his personal life wrt sexual assault allegations, and his political life with his authoritarian surveillance state and racist policing, the differences between the two start to be hard to see.
