I noticed the Nets waived Alize Johnson. He had 23 points 15 boards vs the Jazz last year and in another NBA game this past year he had 20 points 21 boards. Would he be better than Brantley?
Can't shoot from distance all that well. His defense isn't anything to write home about. But his rebounding and energy at that spot would be interesting. You'd think it would be enough to secure him a spot somewhere. Kind of like Faried in a SF's body. Wonder if he'll get picked up on the waiver wire before he becomes a FA.I noticed the Nets waived Alize Johnson. In the dead of the off-season? With our “assets”? Absolutely not.Is there any world we could get Pascal Siakam? I would trade anything not Gobert or Mitchell for him, but I am sure they are not going to trade him and if they do we cant match better offers.
I have 0 interest in trading Ingles, O’Neale, or Clarkson in any kind of packaged deal for one player deemed an upgrade. First, chances are it’s fools gold, and second only an obvious upgrade will make us better and no one is giving us an obvious ant miss upgrade. We're not getting Siakam...but we should be thinking about a consolidation move. Trading two (three?) of Bogey, Ingles, O'Neale, Clarkson for one player that is better. It's a difficult trade to make and the opportunity likely won't present itself, but it something we should be open to and seek every opportunity to do so.
Yeah, there is 0% chance at him, but it would be great. I still think we really need one more player. We need an athletic 2 way guy that's a 3 or 4. I don't know about consolidating but I do think we need to make one more trade. We're not getting Siakam...but we should be thinking about a consolidation move. Yeah…I’d say my interest in upgrading the roster is above zero percent. No idea why we should rule out a chance to upgrade the team if it presents itself. What does fools gold even mean here? The current roster has done nothing but look like fools gold and embarrass themself year after year.I have 0 interest in trading Ingles, O’Neale, or Clarkson in any kind of packaged deal for one player deemed an upgrade. Unless we get lucky, like last year and basically every team sucks or gets injured opening an easy path and we don't choke. I think we are slightly better this year and being healthy would make a huge difference. But I don't quite see it happening for this roster.
It means we won’t get close to equal value for those players, and what they bring to this team.Yeah…I’d say my interest in upgrading the roster is above zero percent. I’m sure I’m not the only one who realizes this…but this team has historically horrific collapses back to back season. Who the hell are we to have zero interest in upgrading?
What are we even talking about lol. We don’t want an upgrade because it might not actually be an upgrade? And staying pat is a sure thing…maybe for another epic playoff embarrassment.
Asking if Kevin Murphy has any juice left reminds me of Major League board meeting:The Clips waived Yogi today. Also the Big 3 had their championship game yesterday with three Jazz alums playing. Big Al and Joe Jesus played for the runner up team and Kevin Murphy had 29 points for the champion. I wonder if Murph has any juice left?
